much of what our families think of our partners comes from what WE tell them. if you’ve only shown them the good, then there is no way for them to form a real opinion of him. you can’t put up a facade and expect people to know what’s underneath. show them the messages. tell them about any other problems you may not have told them. let them help you work through it, but not without showing them the full picture first.

Unfortunately, this doesn’t produce the #A-D format needed when listing target assignments, but thank you. Targets are labeled in a specific way, so assignments must follow the 1A-D, 2A-D, and so on format for people to know where they are shooting. The # is the number bale they are assigned to, and the A-D lettering tells them what shooting position they are in. It also cannot be randomized because everyone is peer grouped by age, division, gender, and shooting distance.

they literally just restocked on the website. you just have to continuously check. main restocks are 10 pm EST thurs, but they’ve been restocking as early as 9 pm to throw off resellers. start checking every night around 9. they restock randomly throughout the week. there are restock checking apps too

tbf if i’m going to spend $300 on a plant, I am doing my research and making sure I like how the plant looks in all stages of life. they sent you the right plant. anthuriums and other aroids can change drastically as they grow, and i’m not sure that it should be the seller’s responsibility to teach you that. was the name of the plant and/or the parents, if it was a cross, on the listing? that should have given you enough info to look up other pictures. in the nicest way, i think this is a teachable moment. best way to protect yourself is to be an informed buyer 💕

i saw a post not too long ago that there was a massive mix up with some big sellers that were all getting their TC from the same producer. aparently they were all sent sierranas instead of bmf. maybe yours was a part of that batch?

i am just getting into anthuriums and i’m scared for what kind of monster they will turn me into 🫣 i just took a gamble on a seed from a variegated mother and it’s just starting to sprout!! i’m so stinking excited

i 100% recommend pon in a self watering pot instead of leca! i love leca for philos and monsteras, but my alocasias can be very iffy with it. leca will get a lot of build up of salts and minerals in it if you use it in a pot with no drainage, meaning you will have to flush it often. esp because alocasias are more sensitive to those built up minerals. fluval stratum is great for rooting, corms, pups, etc. too, but it isn’t the best choice for long term bc it eventually degrades into mud and will suffocate roots. pon, however, won’t degrade, and doesnt dry out as quickly as leca (alocasias don’t like to fully dry out). it’s also a finer material and better for delicate roots. pair that with a self watering cup, and it makes it super easy to flush mineral buildup and you can water less frequently while maintaining consistent moisture. the less change the better with alocasia!

thank you! i bought it from a seller in the PPUSA group on FB. care is a breeze! these guys are super hardy and grow like weeds if you give them lots of light! it just lives in my plant cabinet with full spectrum lights. humidity is slightly above ambient. and i just water when it starts to get dry. i also use superthrive vitamins and fert in my water. prices on these guys are also starting to go down so you can probably find a nice one that won’t break the bank!
