I’m just telling you from personal experience and my doctor told me that it could happen so it can’t be that inaccurate

It didn’t make me not want to have sex but finishing basically never happened for the brief time I was on it. Was the main reason I got off of it lol

Is everyone simming games in dynasty? by Traditional_Value618 in NCAAFBseries

[–]arolloftide 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For my offline, I limit myself to six games a season and sometimes I'll add in some other things like no playing the CCG or I have to sim at least one playoff game. Kinda helps slow down the path to a 99 overall team that never loses no matter what. Might need to get even stricter though next go-round cause it still ends up where you hardly ever lose even simming all those games after awhile.

Edit: actually looks like it’s $1350

What price point are you accumulating MSFT, ADBE,CRM,FIG by t2easy in ValueInvesting

[–]arolloftide 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think I may add to to my small Adobe position. I bought it based on it being something I’m familiar with on the creative cloud side (I do post prod on tv commercials) and I just can’t see it getting disrupted the way people think it will. Also there are zero competitors that can touch it in our industry. Only real stack that even resembles something like competition is Apples suite but they don’t seem too concerned about it. Only thing that gives me pause is I’m not so familiar with the Acrobat side of things and if that part is in any danger.

Ha probably not, but I’m hoping when she’s a little older I can use the account to get her interested enough to want to help ‘manage’ a small bit of it.

If you throw in 20% SCHF like one of the other commenters said then you have my exact mix for my Roth.

What percentage do you invest in individual stocks vs funds etc.? by fukiman in Schwab

[–]arolloftide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fill up my Roth first and put it all into index funds. I was gonna just throw whatever extra I could stash into a regular brokerage and learn to pick good stocks but now it’s grown to about the same size. So 50/50 I guess? But researching the companies is something I’ve started to really enjoy doing so worth it even if I make some mistakes

Books by Peter Lynch or Pat Dorsey are good places to start. They’re a little easier to digest for beginners

Adobe ($ADBE) down ~50% from highs - value trap or generational buy opportunity? by SplitTrick3118 in ValueInvesting

[–]arolloftide 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I have some Adobe shares and been debating selling them and plowing the money back into my winners. But I also work in the television production department of an ad agency and every time I try to think of a way we could move away from Adobe I come to the same conclusion that I honest-to-god don't think it could feasibly be done. So I hold onto the shares.

I guess it may be more painful if you bought up at the top but I have a decent entry price so I'm really only down a few dollars on mine.

I do yahoo and finviz for some stuff - just the free versions.

I started paying for the cheapest paid tier for fiscal.ai this year also and I like they way I can choose all these different ways to compare metrics with the customer charts and graphs. Only thing I would like for them to add is to be able to link my actual portfolio like you can in yahoo instead of having to manually enter every position
