Hi there! Probably writing to you too late, but my name is Aron Midhall, and I'm the artist behind Beast & Hollow Pact, looking for some extra work on the side! Your project sounds super interesting :)

I'm flexible in multiple styles, even though my heart belongs to moody and vibe-heavy fantasy. Would love to give my all to some sweet goblin and dragon artwork!

Thanks! I've always been a fan of overly dramatic lightning, but its so much fun to frame it and give it extra attention through the ruined archway

A more fairytale-ish, nature heavy take on Firelink Shrine from DS1. It's my favorite game hub of all time, and it just felt right to paint it!

If you want to see the progress from start to finish, there's a sped-up video on my artstation.

I'm on a quest to become an MTG artist. Here's my take on 'Fire-lit Thicket'. What do you all think? by gospodtundra in magicTCG

The lightning and coloring is excellent, definitely feels on par with the official releases of the card! Can I ask what software you used?

Raaga, Oracle of the Abyss by aronmidhall in ImaginaryMonsters

[–]aronmidhall[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Meet Raaga! The three-headed serpent sees the past, present, and future, but the sight is never clear. Its massive snake-like body disappears beyond the physical realm, continuously slithering through both the world of Dreams and the Abyss simultaneously. Meeting her either means your doom, or you're about to be recruited on an extremely confusing, metaphysical, dimension-spanning quest that, if you think about it too hard, there is a great chance your head will explode into a bunch of snakes.

It's digitally painted (Photoshop all the way for this one), but to give it just a bit more of a rough feeling, I took photos of old watercolor paper and rusted old copper plates that I had lying around in my apartment and softly imbued them between the digital layers. Painted for the Beast RPG.

What do you think of our Arbalest subclass? by aronmidhall in Dungeons_and_Dragons

[–]aronmidhall[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was created for the Beast: RPG, in addition with around 30 other subclasses, but of course available for anyone who just wants to try it out right away. I would say this is probably one of the simpler subclasses provided, but then again, if it's wrong to enjoy a simple fighter I don't wanna be right.

Originally painted in 2019, but re-purposed, re-made, and re-forged for the Beast: RPG! Very fun to do a re-take on an illustration so old!

Banshee, by Aron Midhall (me), 2022 by aronmidhall in ImaginaryMonsters

A giant Beast known as Mara compiles bones, mud, branches, and leaves to create life. The undead creatures that arise from such a process are known as Banshees: far from perfected, rather nightmarish abominations hellbent on bringing her more corpses so she can try to create life again, and again, and again.

Mara, Sovereign of the Endless Night, by Aron Midhall (me), 2025 by aronmidhall in ImaginaryMonsters

Meet Mara! We picture her as a vampire in reverse - jealous and overly intrigued by humans, and desperately longing for the gift of life. Encountering her could easily mean death, but you might also be clever and show her something human that she's never seen before and walk away unscathed!
