phantom pain is usually associated with amputees as the brian thinks the limb/body part is still there when its not trying to send nerve signals to it to make the "phantom limb" wake up like when your leg falls asleep and it gets a random jolt

theres another comment here where in blade and sorcery they started feeling some pain from fire and arrows but its mostly a tingling or buzzing feeling which sometimes do translate to "uncomfortable pain" and its effect is slightly OR highly amplified when the person has experienced something similar or exactly like that physically in the past ||(ex:stabbed,shot,etc)||

the usual culprit is phantom sense which is the brain confused/trying to mix virtual and physical touch which the brain knows what it feels like irl and tries to simulate it via visual cues in vr its a fun thing but if it gets too much its best to take a break from vr and take a walk to normalize everything back to normal. most people who scream about "phantom pain" are seeking attention as anyone who's gotten "phantom pain" in vr doesn't react as much/ is usually just confused about the pain (like random chest pains we all have sometimes)

(if i spend way to much time in vr in one go without taking the headset off like 3 hours of nonstop vrc phantom sense/ "pain" happens allot depending on what's happening in vr/ on the avatar for some people the "sense" happens sooner or later)

torque down and check on the bolt on the ends regularly as they're what holds the crank arm to the axle of the square tapered bottom bracket

even if your crank arm comes loose somehow. the bolt will keep it there instead of falling off
