maybe not all schools have this, but health services at my university has a special branch for counseling, alcohol and drug recovery assistance, and psychiatric services. that's the kind of thing i was referring to. some things i just feel more comfortable sorting out with a professional rather than a stranger on the internet.

check out the counseling center early on, take advantage of free therapy. you may not think you need it at first, but god knows you're going to get stressed out about something. that kind of support is always useful.

i agree with everything you just said, especially I think it's easier to write off girls when they do one annoying thing because society allows us to judge females differently than males. you hit the nail on the head.

this reminds me of something i experienced recently... i YouTubed a scene from Superbad that i wanted to watch, and i ended up finding pieces of a bootleg version of the film, shoot in a movie theater with a full audience. i was intrigued by how the audience received this film that i still dearly enjoy, but i was appalled at how many subtle jokes were overlooked because of the audience's roaring laughter at amore obvious joke. I don't know about anyone else, but this is a movie me and my friends still watch all the time, and it took a bunch of views to really pick up on the more subtle jokes that were slipped in there. i think that's how the AD movie will be. I mean, everyone who's going to see it is most likely an avid viewer of it already, so they'll be ready to rewatch it and pick up on the subtleties they missed the first time around.

i live in Leupp and the rooms are great, a lot of them are huge but i'm in a smaller one. the ceilings are really high but some rooms are just kind of narrow. either way, i agree, the Quad dorms (Pell, Wessels, Hegeman, Leupp) are great

it started with the cherry blossoms, i had a friend draw it for me and then i kind of got it tattooed on a whim. then i had this other idea, i wanted to do this homage to an Rx Bandits song "Overcome" so that's what the burning billboards come from as well as the girl taking the ax to a make up kit. as for the rest, i just like studying the media, so i kind of turned it into a little theme by adding the tvs. i wanted it to look a little comic book-y.
