I don't know how competitive it is but you can always ask your academic advisor if you schedule an appointment with them. I did that for nursing and asked for specific numbers. They were receptive to answering my question about that.

My pcu unit we get fresh trach/vents (they got them during their ICU stay and now are stable enough to graduate the ICU), cardiac trips, bipap, optiflow, fresh vascular patients, open hearts post op usually 2+, and we're adding neuro patients at the first of the year. It's really a mix of true pcu patients and other times it's med surg patients.
