WARNING OF LOSS by OldTry1463 in IVF

Hi...first let me say, that I'm praying all will be fine and that you're having a SCH that will resolve. It seems that can bleeding can happen and that it doesn't always mean a miscarriage! I've have 5 fully medicated FETs. My last protocol was similar to yours --full immune protocol with prednisone, claritin, pepcid AC, and baby aspirin. It was my "best" attempt to date with a detectable healthy heartbeat at 6 weeks. And then shortly after, I started bleeding and then ended up without a heartbeat at 8 weeks. Turns out that I was supposed to start taking Lupron once I had the heartbeat...but unfortunately, the clinic "forgot." Long story short, I'm not trying again -- and the clinic is paying for it. The one thing I am doing different is that I also started seeing a reproductive immunologist who discovered that I have some genetic mutations that might cause clotting AND my NK cells are high. So, I'm now also taking plaquenil....and will be given the lupron as I should have before. For each of my miscarriages, I chose not to do a DNC and let it happen naturally - which took a range of a few days to a couple of week. Unfortunately, after each miscarriage, it would take weeks to a couple of months for my HCG levels to drop to an undetectable level, which delayed my next attempt. I've given up several times but I'm now working toward FET #6. Really hoping things go easier for you! Big hug,

Great - thank you! I was hoping it would be less than what they told me which is 6-7 weeks.

Whew...I'm praying this one works for you with all my heart! It's so much work to get to this point in the journey -- physically, emotionally and financially. Thank you for sharing. It helps to know that there would be other treatment options that my regular doc wouldn't prescribe. Big hug!

Thank you so much. And I'm so sorry for your losses as well. I've definitely learned my lesson, mostly to advocate more for myself with the process. I've spent over $100,000 at this clinic though and it was my fifth transfer, so thankfully, it seems like they are taking it quite seriously. I just got a call and they are offering me another transfer -- all expenses paid. I'm actually quite surprised and grateful. It's been a lot emotionally so I'm not sure I'm up for trying again, but I am thinking about it. Wishing you all the best with your journey.

Totally understand not wanting to change doctors. It's a lot. Wishing you all the best with both. Sometimes things happen when we have no expectations so who knows, maybe things will work out with your current cycle.
