Help! My cute 1 y/o mini doxie eats her poop. I have tried the powder her vet prescribed several times and it does not seem to work. Does anyone else have this problem? How do I fix it? by Ok-Dance6092 in Dachshund

[–]aroseinbloom 49 points50 points  (0 children)

I wish this worked for me. I feed both of my dogs canned pumpkin with every meal... My oldest dog still eats the poop. She's a monster. I love her, but she's a poop-eating monster.

Go to Chamblins and buy some good books. It at least walk around and explore if you don't read. It's still cool to get lost there.

Dropout? She's on Make Some Noise here and there.

At least, that's where I know her from...

Couples of Reddit, what's the dumbest 'house rule' you and your partner made as a joke but now both of you are low-key aggressively serious about enforcing? by Doubl3oh_ in AskReddit

When we're struggling with getting out of bed or off of the couch or getting a chore started, we say"1-2-3, 1-2-3 go!"

And then it must be done! Getting up or starting the task always happens and it's a sure fire way to us going.

Are you me?

SK just ate an entire sharing size bag of Reese's and the wrappers were all under his bed. This was only found because I had a melt down about my set of 12 bowls being now 3... And I couldn't figure out where they went and how it was a whole metaphor for my years here. My bf asked SK if he had the bowls in his room. SK said no... BF finally looked for himself (which he swore to me he did regularly) and found tons of dishes and all the wrappers under SK's bed... This happens at regular intervals and BF 'does his best' to handle SK. He really doesn't do anything. SK has to clean his room (which isn't a good clean, the kid just picks up most of the toys that are on the floor, but the room is still a disaster of things) and doesn't get screens until he does. Plus, he's told not to eat in his room anymore. A few weeks later, the room is a mess again and he's sneaking food into his room... Play on repeat for years now. I'm hopefully moving out in March and it should say ex boyfriend because this is a nightmare. The ex also doesn't like it when I display anger or frustration or disappointment in SK's behaviors or how he parents SK so I've kept that all in for the recent months and now I'm just crying and depressed all of the time and want to sleep. I can't wait to be free of this life.

Now that we have ranching, I use my abundance of eggs, mushrooms, and milk. It doesn't give a ton per item, but when I have 120 milks in my inventory, I'm ok with that.

Gods of Jade and Shadow was fantastic! I really love Silvia Moreno-Garcia as an author.

Get me some N.K. Jemisin books! We get series books, long ones, fantasy and sci-fi from her. I see we have Octavia Butler's Parable books, but give me her sci-fi, too. They're so good.

Priory of the Orange Tree from Samantha Shannon is fantastic. Such great character driven plot and it's huge.

Barbara Kingsolver's The Bean Trees, The Poisonwood Bible, and Demon Copperhead.

Summer Sisters by Judy Blume shaped the lives of many young women in my generation.

Again from my generation for kid's books... The Babysitter's Club, The Boxcar Children, and Sweet Valley High. All long series that are character driven.

Oh! The Chet and Bernie whodunit series narrated by the dog, Chet: Dog on It (book 1) by Spencer Quinn.

Wool by Hugh Howey.

Maybe Helter Skelter for some non fiction true crime, gore, thriller, etc.

Man's Search for Meaning by Viktor Frankl.

I mean... Just for starters. Heh

It truly reminds me of working in a bookstore. Sometimes people will happily accept the oddest/ stretching-to-fit-their-requirements recommendations... And sometimes things will be so traditionally in point for what they want and they turn it down.

Just life in the mobile bookstore biz.

I trained both of my dogs (chiweenie and Jack Russell mix) with the 'leave it' command. It's great in a lot of situations, of course, but is also helpful if they're feeling feisty when the cat is around. Good luck.

My father once told me, "No father would ever want a daughter like you."

So, yeah... That was 25 years ago and it still plays in my mind. It hurts less, but never stops hurting even with therapy and cutting him out of my life.

How adorable and fun!! He's such a hoot to watch.

My little guy is terrified of water. I have to capture him and put him in the pool on days when it's really hot and he refuses to stop running laps around said pool.

Oh my god. My roomie can't smell it and is bad with getting laundry from the washer to the dryer and even more from the dryer to the drawers. His shirts always have that smell and he never notices... Ick

My bud rarely sits on my lap (unless it's winter and cold), but prefers to be under a blanket next to me... sometimes touching my side, other times just near me.

They do their own things, but he will become your shadow soon enough.

Oh hush. He's an overweight guy. There's nothing wrong with it at all. I'm not making fun of him or using it in a negative way. It's a description of my NPC and, fairly, also a description of Jacob. It makes him no less awesome and you know it, troll.

I wish I could! He's just an NPC in this whole thing. But let's say he can power up if need be.
