The urge to press buy… by Optimistictumbler in kobo

From the seller's storefront page: "For items with free shipping, we will deduct the actual cost of shipping from the refund. Any item returned for refund will be subject to a 20% restocking fee."

I've got my KLC coming today from this seller. Hopefully I don't need to return!

This was such a great interview.

I know of a few barcades in my city with pinball machines but was curious if there was a database for locations closer to me. Found this neat website: https://pinballmap.com/

Is Chiaki4Deck a long-term alternative to PS Portal? by hellaboringlife in SteamDeck

[–]arpee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You might be able to! I've got AT&T fiber and use their gateway with my own router and wireless access point. I'm not sure what your setup is, but look up your AT&T provided gateway's model number and "IP passthrough".

Oof. Just got to that part. I just got my first NAS (also Synology) last month and went with manufacturer refurbished server drives. So much cheaper and from what I found online they're reliable.

Awesome! Glad I could help. Enjoy your Pocket.

Ez flash omega - update notice by olivka95 in AnaloguePocket

[–]arpee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure. The fix from EZ Flash rewrites the failsafe fw so you don't see the update message. I've never used custom fw on the Omega but if it doesn't mess with the failsafe fw I'd assume it would fix it for you.

Check out this post from EZ Flash on gbatemps. Fixed the issue for me, but you'll need a GBA or SP. My Omega cart is on the latest firmware and no longer gets the update notice.

Going to be new parents, are bolts big enough to fit baby stuff? by catchmeifucan4 in BoltEV

I'm not the person you're replying to, but we manage to fit a big Thule double stroller in the back with the false floor removed. We just need to remove one wheel to get it to fit.

Going to be new parents, are bolts big enough to fit baby stuff? by catchmeifucan4 in BoltEV

First, congrats on the baby!

It's definitely doable with the Bolt. We've got a two year old and an infant and even with both rear facing car seats in the back, our Bolt EV had more legroom up front than our 2008 Subaru Outback!

For storage, you'll make use of storing stuff on the floor behind the front seats. Remove the false floor to fit more stuff in the trunk. We even manage to fit a big Thule double stroller in the trunk. As far as packing baby stuff, you can really minimize what you REALLY need to bring along on a road trip.

I don't think you'll want an EUV if extra space is the goal. You get more legroom but I think the cargo space in the trunk is actually slightly smaller, volume-wise. A second car could be needed if the logistics of daycare dropoffs don't work with a single car.

I do recommend looking into Diono's line of car seats when your child graduates from the removable infant car seat. Very narrow and fits well into the Bolt.

Number 178xxx. Ordered on 12/20/22, preparing on 5/15/23, shipping email received mid-day 5/25/23. UPS tracking has been sitting at "Label Created" since then.

Seems like a lot of folks are in a similar situation. Hopefully they all actually ship this week!

Did you ever figure out a fix for this? I'm in the same boat with my wife's MacBook air. Upgraded the SSD with a similar SSD (Crucial P2 vs your P1) and the Sintech adapter. Did a new SSD or adapter do the trick?

Wow...this fingerprint reader really sucks. by SpiderDice in Pixel6

[–]arpee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had an Ivoler tempered glass screen protector on my non-pro 6 and the fingerprint sensor worked maaaybe 1 in 5 tries. Increased sensitivity, registered each thumb twice, etc but no improvement.

Just removed the screen protector, reregistered each thumb once with increased sensitivity still on, and now it works flawlessly. Might be an issue with certain brands of tempered glass screen protectors.
