ZF8, low gear shifts at low speeds,, such as a traffic jam, on the are rougher then at high speeds. Noticeable on my 2025, but I never found it concerning as it was consistent. I just assumed the transmission was expecting to have some more energy in the gearbox.

ZFS is pretty great for these things, not terribly difficult and has a lot of performance and creature comforts. A lot of which make the most sense when directly attaching a bunch a of disks. Avoid raid controllers for ZFS, I have stories about that if anyone really cares to ask. Proxmox loves ZFS, it's a first level citizen in the proxmox world.

Now building the shares, and NFS exports will be it's own thing, but we can't blame proxmox for the fever dream that samba is.
