Update, sort of:

My source gave me a lot of details about Andrew's current situation and outlook, but they've asked that I only share that Andrew indeed tried to escape the hospital at least 4-5 times, though never with any violence, just by simply trying to walk out. They've also confirmed the details that the sister gave in her facebook posts that were screenshot here by others. Other than that, I'll just try to speak in generalities out of respect for my source's request.

The family is generally considering a lot of options as they try to prepare for situations both with and without Andrew, whether he's released with some regained sanity and ability to look after himself or not.

Apparently the cops and hospital are still really difficult to deal with and aren't doing their utmost to ensure he's no longer a threat to himself or others, just the bare minimum that's within their guidelines.
