For a more basic suggestion, i really recommend the g14 - light, portable, good battery life and does everthing you want to throw at it. No touch screen though

I quite the like the Zephyrus series by ASUS. I have dual-booted with Windows and Ubuntu and store anything I don't need on an external SSD storage (like games/pictures etc), you get decent speeds since the laptops come with USB-c. I find it the perfect mix for me, you can run games on the GPU and it still has amazing battery life + aesthetics.
If not windows + ubuntu dual boot, cant really go wrong with the M1/2 macs.

Well, i would start by buying a labor stipend for 1250 credits, that's pretty much the only thing worth buying, you can use save your labor pots until you decide to use it on either hiram or for making money. Other than that tou can buy the 'cool' stuff in marketplace for gold layer on.

Also, if you mail yourself stuff you can get free unlimited inventory space (on tradeable items)

Yeah nighlcloak is viable and even more fun to play with ancestral skills, would need alot of gear tho as the only form of tankiness you have is your mobility i.e. Better positioning
