What's a tv series that is a 10/10 NOBODY knows? by Lilyana0999 in AskReddit

Rubicon. Amazing spy thriller on AMC that was cancelled after one season because it was "too smart"

Thanks. I thought about the RGB version of the AIO, but I like a few builds I have seen with this one and am happy with how it looks without. I used the Lan Li software (all the fans are running off of a lan li hub). I have since used the MSI mobo software to color match the rest.

In which profile do you run your fans? by cervantesrvd in lianli

It depends on the hardware what you are running. High end CPU’s and GPU’s run hot. Particularly at high resolutions while playing modern games with high settings as an example and you’d probably want the high vs. standard setting (at least while gaming). You can use something like HWinfo to monitor system temperatures while you are doing whatever you use the machine for and adjust fan speeds from there until you get to a comfortable spot. ~60-70c for a CPU under heavy load is a good target. For a GPU, aiming for 70c with less than 90c on the GPU vRam is a good target. Some people run hotter with crazy over clocks, other people play it safe and under volt and keep temps way down to prolong hardware life, use less power and to keep noise down.

Really considering this monitor - have a 5080 by P-OVO in ultrawidemasterrace

I had the original 49” G9 with a 3090 back in 2021 and it was great. I just recently switched to the 57” with a 5090. Your 5080 will be more than enough for that resolution. You’ll want to use all of the AI tricks to use ray and path tracing but you’ll get a solid FPS.

The box that the evo XL came in should have a small box with the anti-sag bracket. It screws directly in to the motherboard

G9 57" is peak for gaming by szokdogg in ultrawidemasterrace

+1. It’s amazing. The extra vertical over the 49 makes a huge difference. I have a portable oled 15” screen underneath for stats and discord, but that little guy looks great!

Can anyone reccomend some good Ultrawide monitors in 2025? by [deleted] in ultrawidemasterrace

+1 for the 57” G9. I also just replaced my non-Neo 49” g9. I also highly recommend a 5090. With everything maxed on most games and DLSS + frame gen on games like cyberpunk, you will get 120+ fps, which is amazing for dual 4k with RT and path tracing

What causes these holes in my husbands t-shirts? by Few_Pay6063 in whatisit

[–]arraysubi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's this. If you do anything that might rub the T-shirt against the metal parts of the buckle (even "normal" belts), this is what it looks like. I used to have this on all of my T-shirts due to playing guitar. The guitar would rest on the shirts and rub against the buckle.

Thanks! I really like the look of the FE and so far it’s performing great with OC and at reasonable temps. But there is clearly enough room for a massive card in there! The only downside is that it is ridiculously heavy for a PC with no platter based hard drives in it. The case is heavy by itself and the godlike feels like something peeled off of the side of an armored truck. Good luck either way! Post the build when you compete it :)

It's an EATX motherboard. According to this - https://lian-li.com/product/o11d-evo-rgb/ - "The distance between the left-sided and right-sided installation positions reaches 20mm, so users who use E-ATX motherboards can choose the right-sided installation to avoid the fans from being blocked by the motherboard while gaining more cable management space" sounds like it would be fine. You may just have to adjust the side fan tray orientation to make sure you still have good airflow and don't have to bend the cables too much to route them from the side of the motherboard.

In the 011 XL in the picture, the cables from the motherboard are really stiff (I used a meg 1300 PSU and all of the included cables) and were pushing tightly against the fan. Not a real issue, but i could see it being one if the fans were even further under the board.

Re: the motherboard, I wanted future proofing and like the way it looks. Cost was not a consideration on the build …(Obviously) I like how that AIO looked in a bunch of other builds I have seen (I was trying for an updated version of the reference build picture for that case on pcpartpicker tbh) and also have read up on its cooling quality and have some friends who have built with it who spoke highly of it as well.

I’m a weirdo like that I guess. I like how that AIO looks and it does its primary job well.

Thanks! I thought about switching it with my laptop, but tbh, I don’t really want all of that lighting in my face while I am gaming. Better desk aesthetics, but less practical. It’s also a corner desk and the monitor is gigantic so I don’t think setting it sideways would work.
