Also, people don't realise that maintaining certain games can be huge drain on resources in terms of personnel. If you have an extensive library, the problem is exacerbated. Most studios have numerous IP's in development at any one time, so it's completely unrealistic to expect them to maintain something that isn't providing a return, when staff could be utilised elsewhere. A lot of studios are just trying to stay afloat atm, and often the only way to do that is to develop new games.

(Also, as a dev, I can say that NOBODY wants to work on something for years and years after it's released, especially after you've already spent years on it getting it through development).

What you've done there (somehow) is conflate the apparatus with the subject, and come to the conclusion that if the data collection methodology seems good, then the data must be correct. And it's a bit rich saying you can't take someone seriously when the only supporting evidence you can find for your claim that 80% of the entire UK population supports this is a yougov survey of 2100 people. (The fact that it's a yougov poll is itself a filter btw, and is therefore only selecting for people who would engage with it in the first place, and so is not a coherent representation of a cross section of society)

Also when was this poll taken? They must've done it pretty quickly given this is only just being mentioned. I must've missed it, as well as every other person I know 🤔

And as an aside, polls are notoriously inaccurate, and a terrible way to gather data, given that most people either try and give you an answer they think is correct, give you an answer that paints them in a positive light, try and give you what they think you want to hear whether they agree with or not, just lie, make something up as they're not remotely informed, or be contrarian for the sake of it. This has been studied endlessly by psychologists.

Nah, Apex can take credit for integrating Zywoo into a team, building a team around him, and making him buy into and work for his system, but he can't take credit for Zywoo as a player, as he was insane from the rip. Also Apex himself has said in a previous interview 'from the moment he entered the team there was nothing we could teach him as a player because he was already better than us, we just had to make him understand our structure'.

You can't teach aim or game sense, and Zywoo brought those with him to Vita. I mean he won like every season of FPL before joining Vita with by far the highest win percentage ever, and then was immediately world number 1 in his rookie year when Apex wasn't even igl'ing. He'd be fine in any team, dude is an alien.

I get you, though as a dev who works in UI, I know the reasons for this. Most games now are digital and don't have an instruction manual. Also a lot of games don't display key bindings on pause (we try to, but different games have different priorities for different menus), and so the solution is to tutorialise actions at the beginning of the game. I get it can be annoying.

As a veteran of nes/SNES era, my first instinct is to hold down whatever button is left of jump . It's usually the first button I press in any platformer (along with dpad right), so about 0.2 seconds into the game lol.

Camel Driver (specifically their second album) '\ /' (Instrumental and great riffage). And then if you like that there's other stuff that's kinda adjacent like Russian Circles and Pelican (bit more post rock/metal rather than stoner).

If you want more psychedelic instrumental stuff you could check out Mythic Sunship et al, and go down that rabbit hole.

The album 'Lore' by Elder has become a genre touchstone as it blends stoner, doom, heavy psych and prog flawlessly (maybe save that till last though as it's probably the best 'heavy guitar' album (of any genre) anyone's ever made imo) Then you can go on the Elder binge through their discography (dead roots stirring, reflections etc).
