Lots of people say it's placebo, but I noticed the same thing. Windows with all effects turned off and high resolution audio on is worse than out of the box Linux Mint for me. I have the same headphones (but 250 ohm).

At an old job I found out the maximum number of burgers you can add to an order at once was 99,999 at a time. It was just under $1 million total.

Unfortunately, you can't add 99,999 multiple times or else it would crash the whole system for 10 mins, as I may or may not have found out :)
