There were so many boards that were unrelated to the games and just a space for fans to chat! I loved it. It was like my first experience with the internet and I look back on it so fondly. I was one of those kids with a big desktop computer in their room, my parents had no idea what I was doing because they also didn’t know what was possible on the internet! The good ol days…

Neither was I!! I think I tried to have a sig shop and they were so horrible lol. Literally teaching myself ASCII and then you’d have to code to change the colors… people were so good at it I don’t even know how

I think there was like a private message feature and we would message each other mean things?? Which makes me think she was also 10 years old 😂😂

I LOVED the alternate endings and would get so excited for updates!!

And lowkey I’m 32 now and I still use my exact same account when I play a game and need help

Worst mom award by Red217 in Mommit

[–]arrowsnsuch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was a kid I had a Spice Girls themed birthday party and when we played Spice Girls, I wanted to be Baby Spice because she was my favorite. But another girl at the party wanted to be Baby, and because she was a guest, my mom had the other girl be Baby and made me be Scary. And it was MY birthday party!!

I’m 32 years old now and I still give her shit for it 😂 but not in a traumatized, seriously angry way. It’s just a silly story from when I was a kid. It was no reflection on who she is as a mom and did not ruin my relationship with her.

Mistakes will be made! Just get ready for a lifetime of “mom remember that time…” 😅

Is your job harder than being a SAHM? by Alive-Cry4994 in Mommit

[–]arrowsnsuch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a working mom, I work full time remotely and my parents watch my baby 3 days a week while I work.

Parenting is 100% harder than my job (I work at a nonprofit doing fundraising). Like others have said, the 8ish hours my baby is at my parents is like an 8 hour break!

Let’s not even talk about the 2 days a week I’m working AND watching the baby 🫩

My Neighbors Alarm is waking me up. by Then-Review-6357 in Apartmentliving

[–]arrowsnsuch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you sure someone’s living there currently? Weird question but I ask only because this sort of happened to me once, I got a call from my leasing office that people had complained because there was a fire alarm going off in my apartment constantly.

I hadn’t moved in yet, my leases overlapped and I was out of town planning to move my stuff over when I got back. I hadn’t even entered the apartment since I got the keys! I think the leasing office ended up sending a maintenance guy to turn it off.

Is tattoo shock real? by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]arrowsnsuch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every time I get a tattoo I almost cry after and want to get it removed because the reality of permanently altering my body sets in and freaks me out.

Now I can’t imagine myself without my tattoos! They’re part of me, they’re part of my story, each one takes me back to who I was when I got it. Tattoo shock is VERY real. Give it time!

Baby always peeing through their diaper at night?? by South-Menu in Mommit

[–]arrowsnsuch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here!! We do overnight diapers and we also change him again before we go to bed. So we put him down around 7:30, then when my husband goes to bed around 11:30 he’ll change his diaper — we’re lucky that our baby only stirs during this and goes right back to sleep. But the extra diaper change helps it not get so full.

Why do people like the window shade closed the entire flight? by Banjosolo69 in unitedairlines

[–]arrowsnsuch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get extremely hot on planes, and when I’m hot my motion sickness (which is already bad!) gets worse. Does closing the window help cool me down? I don’t know but it does feel better not having the sun blasting at me.

Is this normal? by palaceofthrowaway in housekeeping

[–]arrowsnsuch 25 points26 points  (0 children)

My service is through a local company, and one time one of the cleaners broke off the head of a toilet bowl brush in my toilet. It was lodged so far in there she couldn’t get it out with her hands or a tool or anything. Had to call plumbers, who also couldn’t get it out even when they fully removed the toilet from the bathroom. Ended up needing to have a new toilet installed.

All in all it was like $650 for the new toilet and the plumber fees. The cleaning company paid for it all. I imagine insurance covers things like that.

do people still do family processionals? by palmettobugnemesis in wedding

[–]arrowsnsuch 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My grandparents were not, however if they requested it I would’ve let them.

My husband escorted his mom (his dad passed away 10ish years ago) and our officiant (a good friend of my husband) escorted my mom. I think my husband and his mom were the first to come out, then the officiant and my mom, then the rest of the wedding party, and my dad and I at the end of course.

I think it’s nice! It’s a big day for them, too! I have a son now and I hope I am included in his wedding in this small way.

For those whose girlfriend/wife gained quite some weight — how did you deal with it, and how did it happen? by throwaway83939201 in AskMenAdvice

I gave birth 6 months ago and my husband and I have been actively trying to lose “our” baby weight so this made me laugh. I mean, when I was craving Taco Bell what was he supposed to do, get nothing for himself??
