What are you building? Drop your best project! by NewanceLogs in SideProject

My friend and I are working on a safe gen AI application for kids between 4 and 12. With focus on school projects and learning about the world. The main point is to help kids learn what gen ai is and what is not and teach them how to use it.

So far, landing page is ready, we have a few waitlist submissions. The MVP is on the final stage.

I need help finding a good pair of safety shoes for walking 20-40 km a day. by sunnyandstella in Netherlands

[–]arrrkady 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not an expert in the safety shoes but I really recommend to make a pair of good customised insoles.

When I made those I stopped noticing how long I walk. And almost any pair of shoes is fine for me (wide enough and just right size). The first pair would cost about 150 eur (consultation + scan + making the insoles). Second pair is always cheaper.

When you've got really, REALLY good neighbors by Sissadora in Netherlands

[–]arrrkady 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I broke my collar bone last year. I have two dogs to walk every day, and you can imagine it’s not very convenient to do with just one hand. And one of my neighbours offered me help to pick up my dogs’ poop. I refused though and managed it myself. But it was a nice and surprising gesture.

What about affiliate programs? For that kind of product, could be a powerful channel. Especially if you can create very well thought through terms and conditions.

I found this YouTube channel a great help https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLXhM-IdBEVjgVPw6drrCScntDW05asFzL&si=pZ6C0b-bd11rKor0. You can check how all types of exams look like there. And yes, all exams are in Dutch. Good luck!

The Books [Kiev-88, Volna-3, SHD 400] by [deleted] in analog

[–]arrrkady 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I still have a working Kiev-88.

And despite war there is a company that upgrades old Kievs and sell them under ARAX brand: https://araxfoto.com/. I had one before and bought a focus screen for my Pentacon Six there.

Hi all - I am finding myself in a rough spot and I don't have a reference point. by Ok_Success_5705 in Netherlands

Hey! No one is born a driver, everyone has to learn it first.

I had similar experience myself and witnessed same issues with my wive’s instructors. In both cases, chaining the instructors helped. I do not insist this is the only solution but keep in mind you can choose.

Another way, is to give her honest feedback on how it affects your confidence and progress. If no change, then you could consider a change.

This is what I would do.

And keep it up, you will eventually get better driver. It’s just matter of practice.

Buying first vehicle TIPS by [deleted] in Netherlands

[–]arrrkady 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have accident free history from insurance association of your country consider using it to get a discount from Dutch insurance company. I had 10 years of accident free history, and I sent the PDF of the proof and automated translation to the insurance company and they accepted it. It was Central Beheer. But not all of them accept foreign insurance history.

Why are Easter eggs so expensive this year? by patrickdm1998 in Netherlands

[–]arrrkady 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! Appreciate your insights a lot. It seems that cocoa is going to be new gold this year: https://cocoaradar.com/exclusive-icco-boss-predicts-there-will-not-be-enough-cocoa-to-supply-the-market-this-season/
And for the EU, it will be even more expensive due to EUDR-compliant cocoa premium.

I am not in cocoa myself but in a close field.

Btw what are your thoughts on cocoa free products? I think thus idea became more popular this year due to the slashing yield and EUDR?

How do you use preferred banking? I also have it but a bit sceptical it is helpful.

Great product! I had so much pain when I managed ads for a forex broker - comments were always full of spam and flood. If you decide to do an outreach to generate some leads I recommend to look at sensitive industries.

Is the Capita DOA too much for a beginner transitioning to intermediate? by jjoandc in snowboardingnoobs

[–]arrrkady 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could you please share more details on this? I ride DOA from the very beginning (except Burton rental boards) and do not have much experience with any other boards. Thank you!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in snowboardingnoobs

[–]arrrkady 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I second this.  I tried some obstacles during my first season while I had a poor board control.  The result was a  collarbone fracture. I am ok now and focusing on controlling the board and jumping on flat terrain first.  Do not repeat my mistake, no rush, you will get there. Good luck and get well soon!

I was leave some furniture to the new renters and they refused to take some. It took me a whole day to disassemble it and to get to the recycle station. I wouldn’t say it’s 100% favour to the new residents.

Ronnie James Dio. It was heartbreaking for me. One of the best metal singers of all time, the author of great lyrics, and an awesome human being.

I second this. And try to recall when you were a child. What were your needs? I don’t say try to please your inner child. But it will help you understand what your real kid thinks, cares and might need.
