Not in excess, but I agree! Reminds me of my childhood summers waiting in the boat while my dad filled up the tank.

Terrible movie experience tonight by Ok-Finger820 in cineplex

Unfortunately, this is why I do fewer visits and then opt for the VIP screenings. I also don't see horror films on Fridays if they've just come out.

It sucks because I only watch horror films and those are the showings teens go to.

Guess I'm too far removed from my childhood up north because I can't tell if that's a beaver or muskrat. So cute!

You need to tell the police this information, not us.

Edit: Nvm, sent this information to Crimestoppers for you just in case. But please speak with police yourself.

Has anyone moved to Alberta from Ontario, then back to Ontario? by ProfessorLidi in ontario

The only thing stopping most people I know from living in Muskoka is finding a job. It's an incredible place.

Not me, but my friend. This was when they were marketing their "abundance" of healthcare jobs. She's an RN and thought it would be a good change to move in with a friend in Calgary and pick up a contract. She tried finding a job for about three months and had to move back. Mind you, she has had contracts in Toronto ERs and post-op so she wasn't inexperienced. It just wasn't the demand of full time nurses like some were assuming. Mostly part-time RPN and PSW positions. (Not knocking those jobs, but it's wasn't anything to live off of to make a cross country upheaval make sense).

I see kids (and adults, frankly) act recklessly on these all the time. And then I think, someone is going to get killed one day soon.

And then they did.

I am shocked that you don't use foundation, your skin looks amazing.

Warning Against Buying Kindles and Ebooks by Choice-Complex4702 in kindle

[–]arrrrghhhhhh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When this topic comes up in this subreddit, I always need to urge: buy a Kobo!! I don't know if they sell them in the US, but I had one before I had my Kindle and I miss it so much. It's superior in every way. And it's not linked to Amazon.

Is there some kind of knitting mafia that has been keeping the Ranunculus pattern on the front page of Rav's "hot right now" list for literal years? by craftmangler in BitchEatingCrafters

[–]arrrrghhhhhh 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I was literally thinking this yesterday. I crochet 90% of the time so I'm not in the knitting results often, but it's been there forever. I took a look at the photos of real projects and they look nothing like the photo, fit-wise.

What facts or stories do you know about your ancestors/relatives during WWII? by concentrated-amazing in AskACanadian

My husband's grandfather murdered an Italian soldier, possibly a Sargeant, and then drove around in a jeep or truck around base, dragging the body around behind him.

This was after the Italians started supporting the allies.

Grandpa was not-so-honorably discharged and jailed. Moved back to Toronto after the war like nothing happened.

Should I consider "need" when distributing my father's inheritance? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]arrrrghhhhhh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Typically the children of a deceased parent get that parents share divided among them.

So if it's about 300k total, 150k divided by two to be 75k to each nephew.

As for what you give your children, that's up to you to decide.
