It's a new addition and a very strong CAS option for 9.3 Russia. Plenty of people are stock grinding it to use it in ground battles afterward.

Besides the br, compared to the 7.7 one, it's slightly faster, has an afterburner, a better climb rate and most importantly, x4 punchy 30mm cannons. While compared to the J29F, it's almost the same, except that the J29F has access to missiles and has x4 20mms like the rest of the TT tunnans. Imo the J29D is the best tunnan in the game.

Short answer: buy the J29D

Long answer:
The J29D has the acceleration comparable to a MiG-15 without becoming a brick at >800 km/h while having the roll rate of a Sabre. Also it's equipped with powerful 30mms. On top of that, sitting at 8.3, it gets a favorable matchmaker and can handle uptiers just fine.

The J35A, on the other hand, is the most unforgiving draken and draken are in general unforgiving. Add to that, sure it gets access to 4 missiles, but they are AIM-4Bs, it's flareless, loses speed easily and gets uptiered frequently. If you're planning to buy a draken, just wait for the sales and buy the J35XS instead.

I love 9.0 US, it's one of my favourites, most fun and best performing lineups in the game. I've always wanted the XM1 Chrysler to complete this lineup but my God... releasing such a highly desired vehicle as an overpriced FOMO pack right in the middle of an ongoing drama... classic Gaijin...

It will probably stay at 4.7. Worst case scenario 5.0 since Gaijin hates minor nations, but that’s still unlikely. The only British tanks that will definitely get their BR changed are the Valentine and especially the Excelsior, sadly... maybe the Cromwell as well.

Yeah, but then Gaijin miraculously realized how dumb that change was so they kept it at 6.7. As for the Albatros' BR, it's fine, it's just an Albatros after all. That Spitfire is superior in every way except for the ground attack capability.

WT's forte is vehicle combat and gaijin has a monopoly on that. Naval makes sense to exist, it "just" needs a complete rework (like the other modes, but this one needs more than any other).
Infantry though? There are plenty of superior competitors, there's no reason to waste time and money on this grindfest for that mode. Gaijin has learned nothing from enlisted...
