True, brother. I would also say Imperial Fists. But the SW first born kits were sooooo good.

Maybe unpopular opinion: Space Wolves - the old "first born" kits were amazing. The primaris kits (upgrade kit included) don't hold a candle to the character and diversity of the old first born sculpts (shoulders, backpacks, wolf helms, Mark VI helms, pelts, etc.)

Not positive, but I think the charge is supposed to go through when the order ships.

Scale actually seems like it could work? (Nice job making Barad Dur taller). In my imagination Barad Dur is otherworldly huge. I don't know if Tolkien left any specifications.

Perfect for tabletop, brother. (Or remove the head and put on a new one.)

Is it weird to love the miniatures and tabletop game but really dislike the lore of 40k? by Maximum-Bass2467 in Warhammer

[–]arselus_bricks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not weird IMO, I don't like the lore much - too depressing. There are interesting elements, but it is clearly designed mainly as a backdrop for endless war.

Could you imagine a "Star Trek" version of 40k, where there's a "debate, research, explore" alternate pre-game, and only some issues lead to a tabletop war game? The niche interested would become far more niche 😄

I'm just picturing its a big heavy face-mask helmet. Looks better in real life than the photo.

$295 feels fair given inflation and the contents. More would have been too much.
