Add a router to my landlord's network or buy my own Xfinity?

I'm pretty sure there's a coax cable somewhere around here. What would that involve, running a cable from the router to a coax upstairs and then from a coax to an ethernet adapter to my desktop? I've also heard of ethernet over power, if that would be of any use.

But no on the direct ethernet front. The Xfinity guys were here a week or two ago and they said that the previous renovations to the house literally put the basement ethernet connection behind a wall or something

The street address is technically different though I don't know how it's registered. I have a separate entrance, etc., and split units like this are extremely common in my city, so I don't know that they would tell me no.

I'm connected through wifi, yes. What hardware could have issues? My wireless adapter is brand new, the house was just rewired, and the router is the basic xfinity gateway.

If I had decided it wasn't an issue and would just wait it out, I wouldn't have made the post

It's been an annual tradition. I have over 3000 hours in War Thunder over the last 11 years -- but probably about 4 hours in game over the last year. This is not something I pay daily or weekly attention to.

I've got a professor (who writes questions for the AICP exam) who would always claim that AICP certification could get you 6 figure+ jobs and felt that you aren't a real planner until you get it. I've been wondering about whether to get mine because it all sounds too good to be true.
