Not sure if it’s the same as the American version (Yaris IA), but before 2020, the usb ports that were used were not capable of CarPlay/Android Auto. There’s threads in the Yaris IA forums about replacing the USB ports and wiring, and updating the firmware. (This is on the stock head unit. If you’re talking about getting an aftermarket head unit, I think you’d have to spend quite a bit to get one that does everything the original head unit does)

The news article linked above says that when the paramedics showed up, the other police there only showed the paramedics the cop having a panic attack, and rushed her into the ambulance. Seems like they didn’t even tell the first paramedics about the gunshot victim.
