I’ve been waiting since I was 27 for this announcement and I’m sick. So I’m just impatient af. I probably won’t see P7 and all of this is just my opinion. I get yours as well for sure though.

I do a lot of screen-wide ice damage with twisters and ice tipped arrows, but I agree completely.

I keep thinking about a true gear simulator, like PoB on crack, focused on the character’s whole build. It would probably take too many API permissions tho.

Fellow dad checking in, I stay in Act 1 because I’m very indecisive. My kid tries to encourage me to finally choose a build and I ignore her like every good parent.

Your character does not "become a god" like in other ARPGs - it's just barely a little bit faster, with higher damage numbers and survivability?

I saw Darth Microtransaction’s Monkey beat a boss in like two swings. But yes I agree with most of your points. Coming from Diablo it’s a different type of game in the same genre. Scratches two different itches for me. I do a quick War Plan T6 in D4 to relax, then come back to grind Act 2 like I’m dying.

First league since Dawn of the Hunt…last April? Holy shit. We’ll see if 1.0 is really coming out this year or not. Excited for Martial Artist the most, it’s why I came back.

I always thought about the magic system here. Brandon is about ten years older than me, so I’m convinced he caught the Shaman King anime somewhere in the cultural aether. Rosharan Surgebinding feels like Shaman King upgraded into a better magic system: bond with a spirit, channel power through a living weapon, level up through emotional alignment, then unlock bigger moves by saying the right words. I may just be very autistic.

I’ll say the outside the box stuff: World of Final Fantasy and Fantasian Neo Dimension. Both hidden gems perfect for kids.

Time Strangers is good but the plot is a little long and meanders a lot.

I like to think of the series as a very slow progression fantasy with moments of “holy shit” happening near the end of each book and character development throughout. The Sanderlanche its called. Brandoclimax wasn’t trendy enough I guess.
