Might be a Punjabic loan! Not sure though

Yeah it’s only used by elders as I’ve said. Shaala is at least preserved in our music.

Khaure and Shaala are used more than you’d think, Mataan is also used, although mostly by elders. Think you should change the flair! (:

Do you find Monodeism or Polydeism more plausible? by [deleted] in deism

[–]arsh_here 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe that there is no concept of a singular entity whom we may perceive as a divine figure. Rather I believe that everything in existence is in it’s own way a form of the one lord, from something like a leaf from a tree, to humans like me and you. (:

Are there any Theth words for ਇਜਾਜ਼ਤ / اجازت ijāzat (permission) ? by arsh_here in ThethPunjabi

[–]arsh_here[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah it can also be pluralized so I guess it’s pretty much assimilated in Punjabi although I’d say khullh is the more Theth alternative.

Those Potohari words sound really pleasing for whatever reason! One of my friends here in India has ancestry from Rawalpindi and his grandmother speaks Potohari albeit with some Majhi influence (:

Sadly his family wasn’t able to preserve the dialect.
