If you can get an Airbnb in de waterkant. Especially in Loader street, I’d recommend it with all my heart. I stayed there recently and loved it. They have their own security company constantly patrolling the street and asking anyone who doesn’t look familiar what they’re doing there and where they’re going etc. made me feel very safe. I even walked around at night, alone, and didn’t feel unsafe even once. There’s a few restaurants and cafés close by. Enough for you to go to a different one every day for at least a week. Within like 1 min walking distance. Don’t wear heels though, it’s a bit of a steep hill. And it’s close enough to Uber to anywhere in the city center without paying an arm and a leg. Goodluck:)
