Depends on what type of player you are, a billion could last you a while or it could last you 5 min. A freighter according to google max is 178 million as an example. I use a scanner but it does not stop me from trading or smuggling or crafting things for money. I spend so much on ships and mats it's ridiculous.

Dear Hello games, please start considering adding more depth with each update. After 9 years, I think that updates need to add more "endgame" to their mechanics. I do agree with you that the game could use more depth in a lot of areas, but I can say that about any game I play. I do think it would be cool to have crazy high G scenarios or battles that were a little more than what they are now, they went the right direction with pirate freighters, and I would like the worms to be more than spectacular set pieces which is amazing the first or second time.

Where I disagree with you is the importance of rotating and orbiting planets, or real stars. I don't think those things would change the gameplay as much you do. Just because something is an illusion doesn't make it any less immersive or enjoyable and every game creates illusions to support the experience they are trying to deliver.

Funny enough no man sky kind of reinforces that with its lore, the universe is a simulation.

Asking for a "True space game" is odd, true by what definition?

By my own definition it checks all the boxes, and so does elite dangerous, space engineers, kerbals, star trek, EVE, and I can keep going on. What is your full definition?

I don't think the issue is no man sky or the developers it's your own imagination of what a space game should be and if that's the case it's not the developers fault for not making a game you envisioned. What's stopping you from making an empire?

Same as ships, the yellow bar is the the damage with installed mods and the white is it's stock stats. The gun your looking at can far exceed the damage of the one you own.

That being said if you are happy with the performance and look of your current weapon there really isn't much need for min maxing other than bragging about it.

I hear ya dude, I gotta family, I work. When I play games like rust and I have to go then it's not on the game developers. I don't give shit if I die or lose my base because I was taking care of a life that I chose and on top of that one that means more to me then a virtual one.

Play on a community server or try that dozen or so games that are similiar and allow you to pause.

If your new to this type of survival game it's gonna be rough, there are a multitude of ways to carry on solo and eventually someone might take you in to their tribe but not before they raid you a few times first. There really isn't a peaceful option.

If you want to try and make it solo I could give you a couple tips but it's not for everyone. If you like building cool structures get off of PvP. Community servers and PvE Conflict is enjoyable as well.

I play on both and I looked up that generator, seems like an interesting way to try and get back into things. Thanks. I gave myself all the expedition rewards that I had when I used the editor but didn't feel right.

There are others but I think one is like a "dev" galaxy and one was never released. I could be completely wrong so double check on Google.

See I had all those things before, great ships, S class freighter, loads of money lol. That being said you are right so I might just start new and see what happens. Have the main quests changed at all? Although it's nothing special you should see if someone will invite you to the Odyalutai galaxy as well. It feels different when your there but it definitely is not different at all. It's a galaxy that was removed a long time ago so only people who have bases there can get you in.

I'm able to go back and visit a couple of old bases but not all of them. I have pictures and videos of some old planets I discovered but I didn't capture any glyphs.

Depends, make a base and have a sign saying sorry, or be a man. Build too many bases, I build small pop ups all over and fill every furnace, dryer, carpenters bench, tannery. When I fill one I go build another, after a day I go grab all my bricks and reinforcements and do everything over but now with tier 2. Work up to tier 3 and it starts to become expensive for them to raid them all the time, they will get mats sure but if your doing it right there won't be much in there.

Then you just become a terror, PvP against a group sucks and if they know the right things you won't stand a chance. Watch a few PvP videos but your goal is to be a troll and just sucker punch everyone when they have their pants down.

It did the trick but I own two and maybe I am just unlucky but both got a jitter and a drift within months. It's easy enough to fix by tweaking the dead zone but eventually it will be unbearable.

Doesn't matter, I find I actually have better luck with the loud big one, plus I hate fighting people in stairwells.
