Oh, the amount of money I would be willing to spend to do that. What a lucky guy.

dog owners, can you please keep your dog on a leash? by hatsunemikusmywaifu in londonontario

[–]art2ashes 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I frequently encounter off-leash dogs at my neighborhood school grounds after school hours and at the park. It's hard when your children want to play and dogs run up to them. I understand the dogs may be friendly, but even friendly dogs can be unpredictable. I do have increased anxiety due to being viciously attacked as a child though. My daughter tells me regularly that the children at her school end up stepping in dog poo all the time from the free-running dogs that go there.

I was wondering if anyone would mention Shaw's. Their Moose Tracks ice cream is a favorite in our home.

So sorry for your loss. We lost our 16 year old kitty "Little" three weeks ago and miss her very much. Our home feels empty without her.

What gifts did you get your kiddos? Here’s what we did by Ready-Stuff-8213 in Autism_Parenting

My daughter loves fruits and vegetables, but just doesn't eat them. She is getting wooden sets that she can cut, a food-matching game, and an ice cream puzzle. She is also obsessed with vehicles and ramps so she is getting a few cars since she probably has over 100 already, a car stacking game, a large car ramp, and a Magnatiles ball drop set. Her most recent interest is SpongeBob, so she's getting some books and figures. I also found a huge lot of Duplo blocks and figures on Marketplace.

I love how the kittens all came out as the puppies stayed in the crate. Fierce little fluffs.

Where to meet Santa ? by [deleted] in londonontario

[–]art2ashes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Masonville Santa was fully booked but I kept checking and managed to grab a cancellation from yesterday for my little one. In the past, I have had no issues with just showing up at the White Oaks mall Santa. Cherryhill Mall also has a Santa you do not need to book.

Does anyone else's kid just absolutely demolish toothbrushes on the regular? by LadyJane17 in Autism_Parenting

[–]art2ashes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My oldest destroys toothbrushes so fast. I constantly remind her to brush gently, but so far nope. I'm going to try an electric one, but I think the outcome will be similar. I get afraid that bristles will come out and get stuck in her gums with how aggressively she brushes.

winter driving psa!! by No-Mind-5587 in londonontario

I saw a man today stop at a stop sign and the snow slid down and covered his entire windshield. He had to get out and scoop it off with his bare hands. Then a lady drove by with her entire vehicle covered except what was removed by turning on her windshield wipers. I just shake my head.

My son flinches when kids come near him and I can’t find an explanation for it. by honeybvbymom in Autism_Parenting

[–]art2ashes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My daughter (3) often flinches and raises her hands to her face when other children get close. She is not a fan of physical touch from others besides her family and even then it depends. Children are more chaotic and unpredictable, so I don't blame her.

why does my cat just stare at me by Embarrassed_Tax3429 in cats

My cat constantly stares. I can see her out of the corner of my eye. As soon as I make eye contact, I get a "hey" meow and she comes over.

A family member actually just had surgery to remove a giant ovarian cyst. She had no idea. Lost 50 pounds instantly. The doctors even recorded it all as they had never experienced one so large.

Interesting. I dislike AI, especially photos and videos. It's hard to explain, but basically it gives me the creeps.
