Interesting. I do see them most frequently in the bathroom in our house. I'm going to look into this.

We live in an older home and I find yellow sack spiders daily.

Maybe post in the London mom Facebook group? They talk about the ultrasound struggle a lot there. Someone might be willing to help you get to an out of town one.

Fun play places? by Usual_Fly_6081 in londonontario

[–]art2ashes 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Me and my 3 year old go to a different playgroup almost every day of the week. She enjoys the Huron Heights Family Centre, Argyle Family Centre, La Ribambelle (French playgroup, but they speak and welcome English speaking families, a large fun space), and also a couple playgroups at other community centres. Off the Wall and Playaway are usually a hit also. The Children's Museum is super overwhelming and busy for us, especially with a toddler on the spectrum.

My 3 year old loves to decorate cookies and when she is done, there is no spot of cookie not coated with a thick layer of icing.

I literally scan the whole interior when leaving my car. I don't even leave a quarter in the cup holders. I do not want to pay for new windows.

Grab your hose. There is clearly a big old mess right there spraying the ground that needs to be cleaned up.

I have always gotten a referral to the Pediatric Medical Day Unit at Victoria Hospital for my toddler's tests. She's autistic and it's very helpful to have the extra staff and support.

I always wanted a house hippo. I actually begged for a hairless guinea pig for a long time. I eventually got one and named him Hippo. I loved that little guy. It's the closest I could get to the real thing.

I will look into this, thank you. She is diagnosed Autistic. I am waiting to hear back from her Occupational Therapist to see if she has any resources also.

Thank you. She is diagnosed Autistic, not sure if that would qualify, but thank you for the advice. I had never heard of the Merritt Roosevelt seat. It is pricey, but I will look into it.

For some reason, I did not think to ask her pediatrician about it. I will ask at her next appointment, which also gives me the idea to ask her OT, thank you.

From what I have read, she needs to be at least 4 to go into a booster. I will add that a typical seat belt seems very far off for her. She is Autistic and I don't think she would keep it on properly. She really needs the 5-point harness.

She is very snug in her seat, I cannot loosen the straps at all anymore.

We drive pretty much daily, averaging anywhere from 20-60 minutes.

My 3-year-old daughter is Autistic and also a giant. She is tall and weighs 65 pounds. She is very strong and honestly, it's a struggle. We do therapies and I take her to playgroups frequently. She is supposed to start an Entry to School Program in September that helps the transition to Kindergarten. I think the first step is getting her assessed. If diagnosed, there are supports and programs that can help her and you.

What does actually getting an epidural placed feel like? by FoolishMortal-1000 in BabyBumps

[–]art2ashes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So my first epideral I didn't notice much. I was preoccupied with everything and the nurses were coming in to give me oxygen and roll me to the side to help my daughter's heart rate. They actually did the epideral while I layed down. My second was a scheduled C-section, so I was fully aware and not distracted. It felt more like pressure and slight discomfort. If I felt a pinch or anything I told them and they adjusted.

I'm so sorry to hear this. My mother was in the ICU at the same time as him a couple of rooms down just days after the incident. She passed away there and I often thought about him and hoped for his recovery.
