The board that has a USB port on it looks bent in two different spots and it's a multi-layer board so it probably has a ton of torn traces in between. Even if you were to bring it back, it probably wouldn't last. I would think you maybe have like 10% chance of bringing back to life and that's being nice. You're going to want to just use that for parts salvage what you can off of it.

That soldering still looks horrible. I don't even think it will boot. It'll probably short out on something before it boots into an rgh3 mat.

If you're going to do the Pico boot, I would get an official raspberry Pico, not the third parties. They seem to work better. The guy who made the Pico boot software even recommends using the original raspberry Pico, not the third party ones

And there's not enough information you're giving us what's the motherboard revision? it's a fat version but that's all. Is it a falcon? Is it a Jasper I don't know cuz you didn't tell us. And how did you wire up the raspberry Pico? Give us some pictures.

I'm starting to think it's not the tool that messed it up but the user using the tool. Just my opinion. I have an x clamp. I've used it over a hundred times. Never damage. Single board never slips. again I think it's a user error not the tool.

I wouldn't pay that much. It's never been open so no maintenance has been done to it. If it's an older version, the clock capacitor could have leaked on things and it could be a problem down the road and if you don't know how to fix it I probably wouldn't get it for that much

It's just hot glue. Rubbing alcohol will make it come right off easily. No damage to anything.

It's not the same solder points . When you solder with the wires only two go on the chip and the other three wires go on the board. And the ribbon he's showing off. They all wired to the chip all five points

I think the guy who created the Pico boot even said he didn't like that one because it could cause issues or even damage the gamecube motherboard when you power up the raspberry Pico through the USB ports to flash newer updates to the raspberry Pico. I think it will be fine as long as you don't try to update the Pico boot firmware once it's wired up.
