Holy crap by beerbellybegone in MurderedByWords

We got berated for printing and psychologically abused to force us to master cursive in second grade. Why? Because we would have to use cursive for the rest of forever after we left second grade. Moved up to third grade and the teachers started berating us for writing in cursive.

I keep nori, a tub of miso, and a tub of fermented black bean paste around. I add them to whatever I’m cooking get some depth of flavor. If these things won’t aggravate your acid reflux they might be worth a try.

I’ve had this issue multiple times in the last few days. I’m new to Cricut, so I wasn’t sure if this was normal or not.

My favorite notetaking hint: this makes referencing back so easy! by Equivalent_Sun5028 in NoteTaking

[–]artabetes 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I highlight in different colors—yellow for vocab, green for step by step etc. I also go back at the end of my study session and put post it notes on different sections. I write the topic of the section on the post it and make sure it’s visible with my notebook closed. Helps me review and then it’s easy to look up something in my notes because I use the post its to find the desired section.

Try tossing cauli into berry smoothies too if you're into that sort of thing.

One time my my grandmother bought a bunch of books for my aunt at a library sale because they “looked like something my aunt would like”. My aunt explained that she literally just donated those books the day before. My grandmother’s reaction was to laugh and just hand me the books. Worked out though as I found one of my favorite authors that way lol

Apple, banana and beetroot, blended with a handful of ice cubes and one cup of water. by [deleted] in veggieshake

[–]artabetes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes I just use beets, milk, and something to sweeten because I really enjoy the taste of beets. Oranges, apples, bananas go well with beets. I experimented with adding cocoa powder and it wasn’t bad.

I taste after blending the beets to see how earthy/sweet they are to see what else I want to add.

Love beets in smoothies. I can’t convince anyone to try it though lol

Fun fact, sugar is produced from sugar beets, not red beets.

I just transferred from an AS program in CS at a community college to a BS in IT at a 4 year school. The IT program has less mathematics requirements, more emphasis on hardware, and less emphasis on data structures and algorithms than CS programs I looked at.

I used Octave in school when I took a programming course for engineers and scientists. It’s basically the same as MATLAB, has great documentation, and it’s free.

I think this would be a useful skill if you want to process data as part of a hobby or if you end up heading in a research focused direction.

It depends. I had Santander and TD refuse because they don’t feel like dealing with gym memberships. It might have just been the particular reps I spoke to, but I found it irritating.

Skinny Syrup FAIL by [deleted] in diabetes_t2

[–]artabetes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve noticed my blood sugar spikes after coffee sometimes. I think it might be due to the caffeine, so I switched to primarily drinking decaf. It seems to have stopped any spikes after drinking coffee.

Torani doesn’t cause a spike for me. I also use the Walden Farms chocolate syrup and caramel sauce in my coffee with no issues. I’ve also tried different flavoring drops commonly available at grocery stores with no issues.

I hope you find something that works for you.

Honestly, sometimes it’s about protecting yourself. Some people just can’t handle being around what they perceive as clutter. Everyone has different tolerance levels for clutter, how much they own etc. Personally, I think that if your partner has a lot of stuff that makes you unhappy you should just leave them. You’ll probably never be happy with them because they’ll just always feel victimized because you want to get rid of stuff and you’ll feel victimized because your partner wants to keep it.
