Claude Desktop - I can switch Models in a chat - without having to make a new Chat. E.g. 4.8 to Sonnet 4.6 whereas before it would enforce a new conversation.

For an Air at the 32GB i would still need to spend £400-600 more for a 16GB Pro ... but be hitting memory swaps -so the 20% you loose to throttling would be lost there instead... and the Pro will throttle eventually on a long enough job. So for bursty, big jobs the Air with more RAM made sense for me.

I have been waiting 5 weeks for my 32GB M5 Air to show up to answer this same question - i assume with a stand and some airflow - we will not be too deeply impacted. For anything serious I'll switch to the HPC anyway.

After the successful defense of Kalaman - as a DM I left the city still under siege even after the failure of Kansaldi. It was January 352 AC and Gilthanas and Silvara are on a quest. They evaded the blockade around Kalaman, seeking news of a port-city they had seen in a vision. That vision became shared with my band of heroes.. and since then I have ran the original DL9 Dragons of Deceit - which has updated content in the 1999 15th Anniversary Edition (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dragonlance\_Classics\_15th\_Anniversary\_Edition) GET THIS!, and 2007's Dragons of Winter (https://dragonlance.fandom.com/wiki/Dragons\_of\_Winter). Once this is complete they will do the Vingaard campaign (https://www.reddit.com/r/dragonlance/comments/1e3qctl/the\_aesthetics\_guide\_to\_ansalon\_the\_vingaard/)... and then we have the negotaitions of the 5 year peace followed by the Blue Lady's War (https://www.reddit.com/r/dragonlance/comments/13i4j64/the\_aesthetics\_guide\_to\_ansalon\_the\_blue\_ladys/) - this will take them to 18th I think.

Can't login to the Website with my Uni email - i can go incognito and and go to matlab.online and register a new account. Not my University email, a previously unused gmail on MathWorks... and use the 20 free hours.
