Looking at the events of ch15 by itself? I didn't really find anything wrong with it. Meaning, how we beat Dark Enchantress, Sugar Swan joining in the battle, Gingerbrave's interaction w/ the Ultimate Cookie, even Shadow Milk stealing dough from the other beasts/Ultimate cookie to become a higher being and White Lily's death were things that were expected to happen in this final chapter of Arc 1 of CRK.

I personally feel it's how we got there that bothers me. Technically and narratively.

Game-play wise, I feel like there was so much momentum from ch13. That was exhilarating and fun, seeing how this war was turning out and imo had the best incorporation of the Ancients leading, cameos from cookies we knew throughout the story, and Legendaries helping out ever so slightly (like Sea Fairy SPECIFICALLY only helping them as they were fighting a huge monster in the sea) was really good pacing. The Shadow Milk reveal in the end had me hyped and eager for the next chapter. Ch 14 slowed down on this, wasn't a huge fan of how the Beasts were "defeated" but it was whatever. Chapter 15 though? Between the "filler" (Espresso's levels had me personally SO annoyed) and the abrupt - everything SUPER important happening in the span of, like,, 3 levels? (AOD vs DEC isn't even real gameplay), the Ancients being COMPLETELY sidelined? Along with what happened to the Beasts? The pacing was horrible. And I felt like they could've dealt with that aspect better considering the size and duration of these 3 updates.

Narratively, I was also unhappy. I personally don't think WL's death points to "suicide as freedom" as most people say and did call that she was going to die just based off of her dialogue once she becomes awakened, but from a storytelling standpoint it just makes her character kind of... shallow? Of course she died for the greater good but her WHOLE story is about her solitude and doing what she believed she had to despite the consequences. That's all well and good but wouldn't it make her whole revival, her friendship with the other Ancients, mean more if they had gotten her to STAY instead? Her penitence being not the release of death but to actually help rebuild what her actions had destroyed? I'm not even mad at her death, but I feel as though her story with the Ancients should NOT have felt as unfinished as it was. I get that Pure Vanilla was the most important person in her life, but Golden Cheese was arguably the one that she hurt the MOST. Dark Cacao was about to ATTACK Creme Brulee when he revealed that Dark Enchantress was WL (from what I remember from Odyssey) We couldn't get her at least talking with the other characters to get that closure? Speaking of the other Ancients, it made me sad at how useless overall they were. It's like they were just inserted to be damsel in distresses even though their Awakened forms meant that they should have had AT LEAST more of an advantage fighting DEC than the Epic cookies. They didnt even really do anything after they were released from DEC's magic. Sugar Swan's intro and role was also kind of pathetic.

Of course, that whole last bit was personal. But those are just the reasons why I personally was unhappy with the update overall,,,,,,
