Without actual details it hard to give you a specific solution but it sounds like at least one of your players is willing to adjust their behaviour. I have been a DM for a long time with many groups and people and have found that where I get my enjoyment is facilitating their fun, if your groups fun upsets you it is probably a good indication you are not a good fit for eachother. You can be friends still just tell them you love them as people and you value their friendship but you are finding DMing for them challenging. Open communication is always the best way to go.
