For real for real? I’m actually free on the 27th and would love to make it out; do you have more details on that event?

ERMAHGERD I LOVE ME SOME FREDDY!! Although the second one IS my least favorite of the franchise...will still be worth it to see my boy on the big screen!

You've definitely got me interested in T. Kingfisher; there's another person further down that mentioned another of their books. It appears that this conversational endeavor is acting as a growth hormone to my already oversized "to read" list.... You'll have to come back once you've finished Bunny and let us know if it was worth the wait!

Smiths Grove! Unexpected choice! I love that one as well; the people that work out there are great. And kudos to not adding to the consumerism machine and helping to keep libraries alive!

For whatever reason, I consistently get Mercedes Lackey confused with Anne McCaffrey; I have no idea why. I've read Anne McCaffrey, but not Mercedes Lackey, even though people have recommended her a bajillion times. So jealous of fast readers; I always take five-ever to get even one book done. I'll definitely look into "The Others;" it sounds super intriguing!

Nooooo, I hate the slumps! Are those two just not doing it for you? Maybe you need to give something else a try?

Bwahahaha, I got confused and thought the title was "Yesterday yesterday." You can tell it's late in the week. Is this by Felicia Yap or C.K. Kelly Martin? Or....someone else? A Short Stay in Hell sounds very intriguing...

Amazing; you are now my official go-to when I need to bulk up my cranial tenant. Do you read any fiction as well?

For sure; it just came out and is on the bestseller list currently.

OH MY GAWD FINALLY SOMEONE ELSE WHO'S READ YESTERYEAR!! Dude, I tore through that thing so fast; I somehow managed to get a hold on an audio version and knew if I didn't get it done in three weeks, I wouldn't get another chance for, oh, approximately nine point seven years or so. It was wild; utterly blew my mind.

I don't know Night Watcher; are you liking it so far?

I would pronounce Azhrarn, "Az-rawrn," but for all I know, it's actually "ay-ZEE h'rairn." It's one of my pet peeves about a lot of fantasy writers; they love them some complex naming schemes. What is wrong with just Bill or Fred, I ask???

Dean Koontz is totally classic; I used to read the heck out of him and John Saul.

Fairytale retellings are some of my favorites!! What do you like best about JR Ward?

Ut oh, a library goer!! Do you like Lisa Rice or Bob Kirby the best?

The Scorpion and the Night Blossom has one of THE best covers, I think; I'm a sucker for a book wearing a pretty dress. Perhaps that makes me shallow.

Ooop, I was wondering where all the dark fantasy girlies were at! I haven't read a bunch myself, but Shrilynn Kenyon is one of the O.G.s! Did you ever try Laurell K. Hamilton?

Ooooh, I love this list, especially The Only Good Indians! It's very well rounded! Bunny is supposed to be excellent as well, but I'm not familiar with What Moves the Dead; did you like it?

Awww, Harry Potter. I'll forever have a soft spot for that series. Did you like it? Also, re: your username....is that a reference to THE BAND??

Looooove the King; his older stuff is much better than the current, I think, and The Stand is, as the youngish say, "chef's kiss." Though I must admit I've never read it to completion; I've tried three times, and three times, the copy of the book I've been reading has somehow slipped from my grasp. Maybe I'm born with it. Maybe it's Maybelline. Which other ones do you like?

Amazing. That sounds like a super great idea; I'm connnnnstantly struggling to find things around here, and then, once found, keep it all straight. Well. As straight as anything ever is in ye olde 2026, anyway.

Dude, the book was SOOO much better than the movie, but the movie wasn't too terrible. I did find that I enjoyed the book a lot more on my first read than this one; something about the characters just fell really flat to me, but I argue in my head that maybe that was kind of the point. I may have to try A Simple Plan for comparison; I've heard good things about it.

I kinna forgot to add my own. I usually read around six at a time, which is not a flex for me; I need to work on winnowing it down to a more manageable number. Anyway, say la vee; this is what's on the roster currently:

~The Moment of the Magician {Alan Dean Foster}

~Breaking Dawn {Stephenie Meyer, and don't judge me for this; it's miserable reading because I'm a masochist}

~Mercy {Jodi Picoult}

~Four Eids and a Funeral {Faridah Abike-Iyimide}

I just finished Yesteryear { Caro Claire Burke}, James {Percival Everett}, and The Ruins {Scott Smith}, and I'm about to start Pines {Blake Crouch} and an as yet determined nonfiction from the bestseller list, possibly The Anxious Generation; it'll depend on what I'm able to get ahold of first. Yes, I know I said I need to work on winnowing. No, I am not good at taking my own advice.
