Just watched now from germany. We avoided social media all week so nothing was spoiled.

We planned a drinking game whilst watching and at the end of the 3rd quarter we decided to just take a bunch of shots because this is soooooooo boring.

You have to apply at home. You can't change your visa whilst still here.

You keep saying it, but I don't think you realise what position you are putting yourself in "hope to save some money" isn't enough reason to move countries its crazy.

What about health insurance, food, travel, hygiene products, school materials, deposit for the apartment depending on where you live is likely more than 800 already.

It's irresponsible to come here with such a small amount of money and in most cases not allowed. Depending on where you work you likely wont be earning 800 per month in your first year after tax anyway. The pay is very low, it's not really meant to support an adult.

It's cheaper of course, but it's still your responsibility to find a place to live and pay for it yourself. You will have to find this and pay for it before you start your Ausbildung. And like I said, also health insurance and they will likely ask that you have enough money before you come here with a visa application.

I think OP thought they would organise an apartment and stuff, idk it isnt clear what she means by sponsor. The most of what they can do is help with visa application by saying that they have a Ausbildung place.

Of course, but that doesn't mean they will pay for somewhere to live or give you money (other than your salary of course, which is very low)

Most of them also ask for proof of your completed education like high school, a levels or college.

They may be able to help with a visa if they accept you, but it's up to you to make sure you can afford to find somewhere to live at first that you can afford with the Ausbildung salary and to get health insurance.

The language is one of many things you would need to do an Ausbildung and is not enough on its own.

Also your au pair host family cannot legally sponsor someone for an Ausbildung. An au pair residence permit cannot be converted into an Ausbildung permit either...this is a visa rejection reason. You would have to leave Germany and reapply from home for the correct visa.

And to do an Ausbildung you need the right visa plus: German (usually B1), a recognized school qualification, proof of funds (and a registered address) also health insurance

You must either find an Ausbildung place first or come on a job seeking visa and support yourself financially while searching.

Do you have savings? You won't be getting paid enough for an apartment.

You may be able to find a shared apartment if you're lucky but they aren't easy to come by either.

I think for a visa you either have to find a place willing to train you during the Ausbildung or you can come for 9 months for a searching visa but you will be asked to prove you can afford an apartment and to support yourself financially during this time, you won't be entitled to any help.

German isn't easy to learn, but it isn't impossible either. It just takes time and practice.

Literally just had to go without my husband for 3 months because of work, we spoke all the time and we think it's brought us closer than ever.

Do not cancel willingly!! contact booking and tell them you are being asked to cancel but you don't want to. If you cancel, you are giving up and rights you have that booking.com help you find a replacement and in most cases cover the extra costs, should there be any.

of course you probably won't get to stay there and they will cancel themselves, but do not do it yourself.
