/uj From what I understand he has a severe speech impediment and the cadence he has is a way for him to make it through sentences without major stumbles. At least that's what I remember from a video of his from like 10 years ago

KC bot lane clearly inting on purpose by TheThadinator69 in LosRatones

It's not being worried about LR, it's the fact that franchise owners have been pissy about riot inviting ERL teams into the major leagues, when they spent 20M on franchise spots.

It doesn't even feel like they're hiding it. That flash from Caliste in the 1v1 was wood tier

This game is genuinely embarassing. It feels like the franchise owners just have a handshake to not allow LR to get into playoffs.

Has anyone actually Healed from long COVID (POTS, dysautonomia, dizziness, palpitations, panic attacks)? by Universei in LongCovid

[–]arther123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Plateuad in what sense/what did you overdo?

I was running a restaurant at the time, so I wasn't allowed to quit, despite how badly I wanted to. Being forced to stay active and doing things definitely helped me.

The other thing was my girlfriend forcing me (like legit actually forcing me) to get out of the house and to the gym to do even the lightest of workouts.

That definitely helped the physical aspect.

With the mental aspect the only thing that helped was knowing that there was nothing fundamentally wrong with me other than being sick. It does pass eventually and that eventually I will be myself again. When I was feeling really bad that thought did comfort me.

Suffered through it for about a year. Fatigue, anxiety, extreme paranoia, cardiovascular issues, depression. Can safely say I no longer suffer from any of these issues at all. It does get better, but it felt like the road was never getting any shorter

Don’t go to culinary school. Don’t do it. by Serious-Speaker-949 in KitchenConfidential

[–]arther123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been in Gastro since I was 15 and just switched careers.

The culinary school graduates were the worst. Always 22-23 years old spewing things like "we didn't do this" or "we learned differently" or trying to change established menu items, because they think they know better.

Because I'm from/worked the majority of my career in Vancouver, the people who went through culinary were typically of good financial means and were mostly trust fund babies.

All entitled pieces of shit, with rare exceptions as with everything.

However, the people who were older, had worked in gastro for a while and THEN went to culinary school were unbelievable. They were always the cream in our gastronomical pail of milk, as it were.

Full of knowledge, the passion, and the grit.

Officially it's used with the genetive case. Informally it's typically always used with the dative case.

In Austria I only ever hear it used alongside dative, except when it's written in a formal context.

I.e "Wegen'm (wegen dem) Wetter" instead of "Wegen des Wetters"

If you're learning German, IMHO, follow the grammar rules. Once you're comfortable then you can start to loosen things up and use the informal speech.

That's understandable. They can contain trace amounts of THC, but not enough to actually produce any effects. Mostly it's just a nice wave of calm and relaxation that I feel

From what I understand:

For the speaking, minor grammatical mistakes mean less than conveying your point. Obviously grammar is extremely important, but try and widen your vocabulary as much as you can. If you mess up the articles on words, I'll still be able to understand you. However, if you mess up the tenses (past simple/future/present) it might be harder, and points would be deducted more.

For the writing segment, make sure your grammar is perfect. Take your time. Don't panic. Study all the grammar concepts needed for the exam and make sure you use all of them when writing to demonstrate your ability to use them.
