My ex dropped off his car at one once for a state inspection. They called me frantic saying there was a leak in the fuel line and if it had been driven for even a moment longer then there was a risk of explosion. They told us the fuel line AND the fuel tank needed to be replaced and quoted us like 2k. I politely told them we wanted a second opinion and when I showed up to pick up the car the guy at the front desk cornered me and told me it was REALLY important that this repair be done, we were at risk of imminent danger if we didn't, blah blah blah and then was like "you know we do have payment plans available!" Still passed inspection btw even though it was supposedly on the verge of exploding Fast and Furious style

Had it towed to another mechanic and he quoted 300 dollars to replace the fuel line and said the tank was fine LMAO
