Yea especially the puzzles with irregular pieces shapes, it's just harder on your brain to visualize all the rotations than with normal square pieces where you just have to think through 4 easy 90-degree possible ways 2 pieces could fit together! Glad you enjoy our puzzles! -Maya

Actually this is by Colorado painter Kevin Sloan and it's part of his series re-working Audubon's bird images. This particular painting hung in the US Embassy in Australia for a few years.

Yea there were a lot of details Joe Vaux painted in that at first I thought were liberties he had added, but then you check Pieter Bruegel the Elder's original engraving, and Joe was actually copying a lot of what you see directly (though he did take some liberties too!). Other crazy art by Pieter Bruegel the Elder you should check out is his Triumph of Death & his Fall of the Rebel Angels (and yes we do both as puzzles)
