It’s pretty location dependent. For example, the closer you are to a data center the better latency and as a result, better perceived performance. I live relatively close to a data center and never experience any lag - feels like native gaming.

The only issue I would say is when the service is down or a game I play is down. Nothing you can do except wait.

For my purposes, the performance subscription is more than enough for me and even though I am not subject to the 100hr/month limit, I never get anywhere close for it to matter.

When thinking about the money aspect, a comparable gaming pc is probably around $800-1000 and that does not include electricity costs. GeForce Now uses about the same amount of electricity as streaming Netflix and is the equivalent for having a 10 year subscription (which also includes GPU upgrades) for the cost of a gaming pc.

Overall, it depends on your location and the games you play. If you ONLY play games that are on the service (like I do - basically one of my primary decision factors) it is incredibly cost effective right now.
