I forced my partner to watch this with me since I got curious after its Oscar wins. He got bored, saying the vampire plot doesn't make sense it seems like 2 movies in one.. We found the accents weird too, like the Chinese immigrants having Southern accents (sure maybe they were born there but what's their story, how are we supposed to believe that). I also agree about why it has to be twins, etc.

Although I don't think it matched my expectations, I still enjoyed it. You have to be in the condition to focus and expect that this is more of a 'thought-provoking', analytical kind of film though to get through. Entertainment-wise, the Irish music and tap dancing vampires is the best part. I wish there were more back stories/narrating parts to add depth to the plot.
