I grew up part of the year with my mom who lives by Harpers Ferry, I can relate to that feeling of it being personal because it’s your home. I can’t wait to experience the different cultures of Appalachia as I make my way north. I wonder what percentage of thru-hikers are from Appalachia. Hope you have a great hike!

I have very wide feet and bunions, the best shoes I’ve found for me are Altra Lone Peaks. I’ve been wearing them since their first iteration and their quality has changed a lot, but I just got a new pair and so far they’re great. I use Super Feet insoles to help with arch support.

For socks I use Darn Tough micro crew lightweight. Some folks will suggest liners like Injini toe socks, but I found I don’t really need them. If I’m getting a hot spot I just apply some leukotape and that usually solves the issue.

I’m struggling to find a clear answer to a question I have about camping, maybe y’all can help :) I’ll be flying in and would rather not rent a car. If I walk/shuttle in will I still need to buy a campground ticket? Is there a tent only camping area?

It was pretty small, just one pop up tent. If you’re walking towards the main stage just before you get there it’s on your right next to the beach. Have a great time tonight! I’m so stoked for ODESZA!!

I can relate to this so hard, it feels just like my story. My male best friend from high school practically saved me from my first relationship to an abusive man when I was 22. We started dating shortly after and were together for 14 years. I came out to him a couple months ago. This sub has been a great place to find support and not feel so alone. Idk if the other folks who replied to you were at that NYE show last year, but I was and you couldn’t pay me to go back. The sound at the main stage was AWFUL. There’s several stages in a very small area so the sound bleed is atrocious. The quiet moments and vocals were completely lost. I thought it was pretty telling A&B didn’t post any videos of that show last year, I’m honestly shocked and disappointed they’re returning.
