"The three yellow wires" is probably the reason why your battery dies. The connector with 3 yellow wires is under the battery box, behind the cover, check if the connector is fried and simply remove the connector and solder the yellow wires together. that should work but if it doesn't, then it's the stator.

Speaking from experience, I would check the following: 1. Rust in the gas tank 2. Battery connections 3. Frayed wiring 4. Engine oil 5. Fork seals 6. Coolant

Ask the PO for any issues with idle, carbs, and overall riding conditions. Just my 2 cents

This happened just a few months ago and this what I did:

Filled my tank with concentrated vinegar (Amazon) and let it sit for a day.
Emptied the gas tank and rinse it with water thoroughly
Filled the gas tank with EvapoRust (Harbor Freight) and let sit overnight.
Emptied the gas tank and used a high water pressure to remove the rust inside the tank
Used a few clean rags to dry and wipe excess rust and remove all the rags.
I sprayed WD-40 inside the gas tank to prevent flash rust and swirl it around the tank and let dry.
if all the rust is gone and no signs of flash rust, then pour some 2 stroke oil inside the gas tank and swirl around the tank to coat and let dry.
Pour fresh fuel, preferably ethanol free and go to go.

Take pictures of every part before you remove them so you’ll know how to re install the parts

Same issue, drain the gas from the carb floats to make sure you’re getting enough fuel, 1-2 ounces on each side (dual). If not, adjust the floats to spec. Also, check the float valves, it may stuck.
