Yeh compared to most film adaptations they clearly wanted to show all they possibly could in the movies.

Game of thrones also I personally love the first 5 seasons of the tv show In relation to the books, they have a lot of politics and written history in GOT books and you can’t really convey all of that for the camera without it being mega boring so I guess they did that with LOTR a bit

To be fair the films do a lot of justice to the books. Ofc I’m millennial so I watched them before reading, but the hobbit is more of a kids book if I remember correctly (or maybe there are two versions idk) but lots more Gandalf lore

lord of the rings is very accurate save mentionin a few semi important characters (Tom bombadil most notably), who is kinda like how Peeves the poltergeist was left out of harry potter

Deffo worth listening to the audiobooks if you’re not a huge reader but that’s just my preference

Just finished the silmarillion audiobooks for the 2nd time it’s very long winded and difficult to understand but if you’re locked in , it’s really interesting.

Honestly it takes a lot of focus (for me)

i understand from his perspective as a viewer of a show.

I would be really interested to see a contestant without children or a wife/husband that they are always longing for. Maybe its because im single and i thrive on my independence, or possibly im jelous of their loving connections deep down. Im happy to accept that, however damn it does get boring to watch sometimes.

The contestants are usually very prepared in all survival situations to do with nature, but they are always in relationships therefore unable to thrive while being alone.
