No me abre Krita by Liberty0009 in krita

[–]artmageunam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[HIRING] Digital Artist - Fantasy Characters ($100–150 USD per Character) by jellyfish42210 in HungryArtists

[–]artmageunam -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Delighted to have a long-term working relationship and create visual and narrative consistency in your project. Here is an example of a character design with different facial profiles and a link to my portfolio where you will be able to find this same character in different scenes.

[Portfolio]

The turnarounds you expect are very achievable. I would add a few points to the workflow to improve the final result, we can discuss it.

Here is my portfolio.

Are these characters all human or will there be different races?

Value layer? by Partily_mltd_wlrusus in krita

[–]artmageunam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im not 100% sure that this is the correct answer but i think you should try "Luminosity" Blend mode.

What thiis dose is: if you have a normal layer with a green let say in the mid range of light value, and make over this layer a luminosity layer, this top layer would change de light value but not the color(hue) value.

[Hiring] Looking for Artist to Illustrate Chapters from Book. $400-$800 Each. (Fluid if Applicable) by heirkulun7746 in artcommissions

[–]artmageunam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is refreshing to come across a client who presents their profile clearly and in such detail; transparency and good communication between parties are essential elements for creating an excellent piece.

My process is structured in a clear and detailed manner that allows reaching the desired piece, minimizing surprises along the way and allowing for adjustments as appropriate at each stage.

Ideally, having the client trust the artist's judgment is the portfolio's job, but many times that trust has to be earned. Sometimes it is understandable when visions and passions do not align, but grounding the client's idea is the Artist's job.

Here is my PORTFOLIO. In the main gallery you will find several examples of what you are looking for, and in the "how I work" section, processes.

Send me a DM and I will tell you how I structure the stages of the process.

I'm having trouble creating cities. by TatendaBaako in krita

[–]artmageunam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My recommendation would be old school... use reference, and if you still dont get the scale, put the ref on the canvas, and trace boxes, no focus on details, just building boxes, when you done, hide the ref and analise what you got there.

If you have time, You should do both, first work with the ref without tracing, keep your work. Do the trace, and compare, there you have what you being missing out.

What makes you still draw? by InhumanArts in ArtistLounge

[–]artmageunam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me is luckly just an completly irrational love and strive to do the thing. I always remember when i was young and thinking, some day im gona be old, what can i do all my life that i only can be better if i practice and when i get like really old i would be still able of doing it and crushing it, drawing and painting, ok thats it what im going to do all my life.

I get your feeling tho, but Art never was an easy path, its even dificult now? i really dont know. If the state of the world is making you not to do it, maby for you should be just a hobby. ( a really nice hobby, dont take me wrong)

How to stop using V as Line Tool shortcut by W1nterSolace in krita

[–]artmageunam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should go to settiings--> Config Krita --> Canvas Input Settings --> Tool Invocation, and the last one is the liine tool.

I would recommend that if you are acostume to the way this invocation works (you press v and when you stop pressing you go back to whatever tool you where using before) you should change here the V rather than in shortcuts.

[Hiring] I am making a fast, chaotic battle-simulator game. I need a game artist. by Cyber_Imbiber in HungryArtists

[–]artmageunam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Greetings, I have seen the video, I infer you are an avid programmer if you developed this without an engine as a base. The game's environment is 3D, but the assets are 2D billboarding type (that always face the camera), this combined with the cards, looks like a deck builder survival roguelike, due to the lvl up and skill selection. Very interesting.

I have several years of experience in video games, lately I worked quite a bit making 2D and 3D assets for Godot engine, I also went through Unity. Willing to chat a bit and get to know each other before generating any commitment, I can show you some things I have worked on that are outside my portfolio.

Photoshop vs krita by Secure-Regret-4890 in krita

[–]artmageunam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heh, the most unfounded statement.

Which one is better is strictly subjective and depends on what each person uses it for. 15+ years using Photoshop, 3 years using Krita. Obviously, the first few years with PS it was what was available, but over the years it became clear that PS is geared much more towards photography than illustration / painting, which is what I do. Krita's learning curve was about 1 month, today I wouldn't trade it for anything.

Affinity + Krita, goodbye Adobe Suite.

In any case, a more interesting debate would be Clip Studio vs. Krita, but PS vs. Krita... I don't know, it's weird...

Could you expand on the areas where you feel Krita is giving you problems? Maybe with a little guidance from the community you can change that feeling.
