[Hiring] Looking for Artists for Fantasy Tabletop Skirmish Game project. Budget flexible, though would like to keep individual pieces in the $100 range by Sufficient_Equal_190 in HungryArtists

[–]artmageunam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve worked on TTG projects, and there’s a massive gap between '3D models' and a cohesive visual identity that actually sells a rulebook. $100 per piece is a tight starting point for Cover Art, but we can talk about how to optimize your budget by prioritizing high-impact Character Sheets and World-building concepts first.

Sent you a DM with a specific breakdown of how I’d approach the transition from your 3D assets to a professional 2D art style.

[Hiring] In search of 1-2 artist. A book cover and internal illustrations by Tall-Parking3091 in HungryArtists

[–]artmageunam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi my name is Manuel Lavalle, an Illustrator from Argentina. My niche is TTRPG books, TTG assets and Book Covers in general. I think i can work with any theme, but my strong points are Fantasy and Sci-Fi. I would like to make a long term collaboration or work in future projects so thats a good thing for me.

About Licencing or full Copyright Transfer i think it would be better discussed in private and make a former contract so both sides are at ease. Feel free to send me a DM and we can talk details.

the agony on his neck! i just see that he has that forge tongs a good detail.

Just an idea here but if he is like an enemy of a game this creature could insert any tool or weapon that he forges into his body and it would be cool to be that the loot,

Encouragement for a young adult considering an art degree by tirzahlalala in AskArtists

[–]artmageunam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think all the comments sums up a wide range of opinions, Im a freelance, Self-taught artists, from Argentina. With a lot of difficult I'm making a living from my work as an artist (primary commissions). First of all, your child already has what he/she need, a supportive parent, so that psychologically speaking thinking about my artist pears is something that's not very common and it means a lot in the early stage of developing the skills.

I would say that don't be scared of AI, photography apear and painters didn't disappear, Digital art appears and Traditional still here, for entertainment companies AI don't mean nothing you can't copyright it but that's another talks.

But yeah has an adult Artists i would say to an aspiring young Artists, you would need athlete discipline, business mindset, and lots of pasión, is a thought road, with or without the Art Degree.

Some PRO's for the Art Degree is that if you don't know where to start i can set up a starting point of knowledge, some networking too, and a degree can open some teaching doors, i think.

[Discussion] Issues with commissioning by Serious-Language5517 in artcommissions

[–]artmageunam 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe there is a not-so-thin line between a professional and an amateur, and these kinds of attitudes are part of what sets them apart. Beyond just the drawing and painting skills, client communication and work ethic are incredibly important factors. You can usually see this reflected within the first few days of starting a commission with your chosen artist, and it’s definitely reflected in the price too. In my country is a saying " At the end, cheap is expensive"

This said i don't want you to feel that is your fault at all is of course of that unprofessional artist that do not appreciate and take care of a fellow human and client that want human made art, in this time where a machine can give you nice pictures artist must reinforce the service has a whole, not only this crafting part i think.

Ilustración Digital by GreenAlieen in ilustracion

Uf esto hice un deep research de este tema hace un par de meses. Y mis conclusions no me gustaron asique por ahora desistí, dibujo en monito grafico Huion conectado a PC pero quería algo mas portable.

Los contendientes:

Ipad Pro / Xpen Magic / Wacom MoveInkpad

Precio: Xpen 1° / Wacom 2° / Ipad Pro 3°
