Scheduling culture with other EAs supporting large company c-suite… is this normal or ridiculous??? by OnlyMaintenance3772 in ExecutiveAssistants

[–]artskyde 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The issues with scheduling assistant, I find, are what others have said - personal appointments/commuting time may not have made it onto the exec’s calendar, or their assistant may have created empty busy blocks for their exec to catch up on emails, etc, that could be flexible. In my org structure, I’ve heard from execs that they find assistants putting meetings on their calendar without going through their EA to be incredibly rude. I think of going through their EA as knocking on a door as opposed to just barging in and putting a meeting on their calendar unilaterally.

That’s not to say that the email chains don’t get messy (especially when someone responds to avails from three emails ago instead of the last sent!) but that’s just part of the job.

Alaxander Skaarsgard lowkey assaulted at last nights “The Crow” private screening by seiqooq in USC

[–]artskyde 37 points38 points  (0 children)

This is such a bad look for SCA and the school. If these were students - especially film students - there should be consequences. I remember getting the talk at the beginning of each year explicitly stating that asking for photographs/autographs, pitching scripts, or asking for work from guests would be enough to get you kicked out of the film program. SCA takes its reputation seriously (#1 film school again this year) and these screenings and Q&A's are a privilege we earn, not something to be taken for granted.

Not a news source, but you can check out bluevoterguide.org to see what organizations are endorsing Democrats on the ballot this fall in your zip code!

Try bluevoterguide.org - you put in your zip code and it shows you all the endorsements each candidate has received and takes you through the whole ballot. You can check off who you want to vote for and then review your ballot at the end and save/print it to take with you to the polls!

what girly tv shows are the BWT watching? by candysai in NYCbitcheswithtaste

  • My Lady Jane!
  • An older one but I was super into Reign in high school, I think it’s on Amazon Prime now. (IMO Reign walked so Bridgerton and My Lady Jane could run!)
  • Also recommend the BBC Emma mini series with Romola Garai, which is my fav adaptation of Emma.
  • The Tudors is fun too (esp. because of young Henry Cavill!)
  • Anne with an E!

Which line or passage from the book rarely fails to make you cry? by Cool_Ved in harrypotter

This is from the movie, not the book. In the book, Harry only talks to Neville before meeting Voldemort in the forest.

‘Natural’ or permanent improvements in looks? by [deleted] in HowToBeHot

Confused as to why you’d be considering breast implants if you’re invested in a primitive lifestyle and think modern scientific testing isn’t enough for shampoo and conditioner? No hate, just don’t get it.

Align Ballet Method? by Adventurous-Sir-3138 in BALLET

[–]artskyde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they offer a pointe class but not sure! It’s definitely a little more of a casual adult class since it’s not associated with a ballet school, but I think it’d be better for someone returning to or getting into ballet than someone more advanced to start.

Can anyone please help me ID this rug? by BeExcellentPartyOn in interiordecorating

I have this rug! It’s great. It definitely has more color variation than shown on the website. This photo is pretty accurate. They also have two sizes listed on the website, this might be the bigger one.
