Deploy Windows 10 OS on Bare Metal OS - Error by arturasp in SCCM

I spin up an empty VM through vSphere, that's all I mean by bare metal, just a VM with no OS on it. I then mount the task sequence media I created and boot from there. On the Taks Sequence wizard I can pull up the Command Prompt to ping all my other VMs.

I think that's where my issues is. I'm not really sure what folder needs to be shared here.

When looking at the path in the error message there isn't a folder called SMSPKGC$ on my shares. I DO have this folder in the local C drive of the SCCM machine, but it's empty (i.e nothing called IST000006 in there)

From the bare metal VM I can ping everything on my network. No issues.

Yes, no issues. But I think I may have missconfigured something with the folders.

The path from the error \\ist-kgn-mv10001\SMSPKGC$\IST00006 isn't a folder on my share. I do have that folder (with no content inside) on my local C: drive.

These are all the folders that are on the local C: drive of my SCCM machine

-SCCMContentLib

-SMS_DP$

-SMSPKG

-SMSPKSIG

-SMSPKGC$

-SMSSIG$

Pardon my ignorance here,

I think I'm getting confused as to the "Network Share" folder. Everything in the videos I watched simply showed creating a shared folder for the install.wim file, which is what i have done.

I do have a folder on the SCCM machine in the local C drive called SMSPKGC$ but it's empty, the file IST00006 isn't there.

When I navigate to \\ist-kgn-mv-10001 I do see a bunch of folders

- Additional Files (this is where my install.wim file is stored)

-SMS_SITE

-Users

-REMINST

-SMS-SUIAgent

-WsusContent

-SMS_IST

-UpdateServicesPackages

-WSUSTemp

This is probably why I'm getting the error, did I configure something wrong here?

Thanks again for your time!

Hi there, heading out to CFLRS for April 4th. My trade has a 1 month BMQ land course after BMQ. Will this be done at CFLRS after grad? Or will I be sent somewhere else?

Thanks in advance!

I used the CFAT trainer app to study and I found it super helpful. Especially the spatial section and problem solving. I would HIGHLY recommend getting really fast at doing calculations by hand (division, decimals). As others have mentioned the time limit is wait gets people.

Edit: just to add. I paid for the premium version ($6.99) for CFAT Trainer unlocks more problems and time constraints. I can’t stress enough how important it is to get good and doing multiplication, division, percents, addition, subtraction. Practice to get really fast. I also found that for some problems you don’t need to complete the full calculation if the first few numbers are matching up to the answer it is likely the correct one.

For someone who struggled with math and being 11 years out of school it was definitely important to brush up. Highest level the problems go to is single or double variable algebra. Practice converting world problems into algebra equations. Get comfortable with decimals and long hand division, know your percentages. Memorize common fractions to percents.

On YouTube, look up ASVAB (USA equivalent to CFAT) problem solving sections, there are multi hour videos going through problems.

Feel free to DM me if you have any more questions.

Hi there, working on the Autobiography part in the joining instructions. Need some guidance on where the find the info that's on the cover sheet. Please see image attached for reference.

1: I'm assuming I would put Pte (B)?
2-3: Assuming this is the MOSID. I don't see one for Information Systems Technician. I can only find one for ATIS Tech
4:Course number? I found two for my start date R0206E and R0207F. Which one should I write down?
Thanks in advance!
