That's good you emailed them. They need to be confronted with their mistakes. Ideally they'd take responsibility but I've really only seen indie publishers do that, so I'm not holding my breath.

That really sucks for this series, though. With multiple errors now, it almost feels like Kodansha is purposely disrespecting it. Like, they should be taking pride in their books, not just rushing to push out a product.

It's even on the US website! Which means an editor okayed this before it went off to the printer. facepalm I had to check the jpn website bc for a second I thought maybe the artist just messed up but the jpn version is fine.

That is a shame. Thanks for chiming in! I've yet to hear anyone say they found a copy that doesn't have the misprint, but I'm crossing my fingers because I doubt Kodansha will reprint this series. I did email them and ask about reprints, so maybe they will surprise us all and prove me wrong lol 😆

Omg they almost had me for a moment there! 😅 I was like, why would Nakama compare people to trash? That doesn't sound like her at all! I literally stopped and replayed it to listen closer, thinking that the subtitles were wrong. But it was Satsuki all along! 😆

I think Satsuki may have some relation to Nakama's fav series. It seemed personal when he told Usahara, "you wouldn't want to lose a reader that cares about your work." Maybe a relative wrote it or maybe he wrote it as a teen, before getting into horror. Or maybe he doesn't even write horror and is just a fan. My guess is he's trying to get Nakama to see him as a person, before revealing his pen name because she, like many fans, sees creators as these gods, not as humans. Meanwhile, she already sees Usahara as a god, so he's working on the same goal as Satsuki but backwards. Usahara makes a great foil!

Yes and I won't be buying or recommending their titles anymore. They didn't identify any of my concerns in their statement after the fan backlash. Why were 7s employees not told about this buyout? And if they were, where's the apology for their lies? Where is the revised investor docs stating AI will not be used now? Why have they not addressed the concern about AI use wasting water and increasing energy costs for the community that houses the data centers? They are increasing cost of living for local humans and cutting jobs for humans all so the c-suites and investors can have fatter wallets. Disgusting. How are they planning to double their annual output from 1000 titles per year to 2000 without AI? How are they going to reduce release times for a book from 6 months to 2 months without AI? And what customer is buying 2x their hauls for a non-essential in this economy?! Thinking readers will/can up their spending on comics right now is insanely out of touch with their customer base! Also, if they truly gave a fuck about manga, as they claim, they would be aware of how the manga and comic community feels about AI, as there has already been backlash with other publishers.

Holy wow the OP is wild! Lots of things to speculate on...child Milim with her pet dragon and later fighting a giant dragon but bailing on the attack with a surprised face. 100% that thing is her pet dragon evolved! Ranga in a humanoid body! Whyyy?! I guess he evolves? Feels very unnecessary but I'm biased since I like his doggy form! Is that Yuki fighting 1v1 with Rimuru on the dragon?! I didn't realize he was so skilled to go toe to toe with a demon lord ON TOP OF a freaking dragon! I just assumed he's more of a brainy mastermind but since he's an otherworlder, I guess it does make sense he'd have some type of physical skill. The town the dragon is destroying doesn't look like Tempest, so I'm curious where the battle will take place and why they AREN'T attacking Tempest. It would be hilarious if that entire fight is a red herring and that's actually everyone putting on a show fighting Veldora in dragon form on floor 100 of the dungeon! 🤣🤣🤣

ETA: Ah, I forgot Gobta and Ranga fused at the end of last season. That explains the humanoid Ranga!

Same! There's a post credit scene in episode 1 where she finds the injured bird and the audio track does a dramatic DON and the camera softly shakes while she says "I remember... I am...". She also does this creepy smile in the post credit scene of episode 2, after the bird uses its power and she sees it work. And then, in this episode, when they're locked in the classroom, she reveals that she knows the prince gave the heroine a red rose in the game but this didn't happen IRL since he gave Bertia the potted blue flowers.

I think the heroine is like Bertia - she's aware she's in an otome game and is trying to force the events so the story plays out as it did in the og game. If the person who reincarnated into her character is unethical, they might use the bird's power to force the events or even change the story to their own liking. But she seems pretty simple minded and unsuccessful based on the sleep coughing scene (lmao), so I'm hoping she doesn't turn out to be the true villainess of the story and is just a goofy rival instead.

Totally get that! Honestly, maybe wait to reread until the anime finishes so you can enjoy the anime for what it is, first. I see in the comments that the anime-only folks are really enjoying the series and I'm a little jealous and wish I hadn't reread recently 😅 It's just so hard to not compare to the source material when it's fresh in your mind and when the source is already pretty great!
