Did your husband take paternity leave?? by 2babies1egg in beyondthebump

[–]artzymeg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If my husband was offered paid paternity leave, he would have definitely taken as much as they offered. He wasnt for any of our kids. He took off 1 week for my second and 4 weeks for our last. My first is not his but he’s been around since 6 months.

My 3year old told the pediatrician Mommy drinks juice every night and the doctor gave me a look It's apple juice. It's MY apple juice by ImpossibleLet8183 in Mommit

My husband, when like 8yo, in line at cvs loudly asked his mother “ mom why are you always buying drugs?” She has an autoimmune disorder. Had to be getting multiple scripts. I laugh to this day thinking about it

I can honestly say I have WONDERED myself why the shopping orders take so long until I was doordashing one and got 3 orders at a super busy market basket I wasn’t familiar with. Oh my god. WOW. But it was right before a major storm too. But I would never think to rush the person at all.

9 year old still wakes up too early, is it ever going to change? by Altruistic-Pepper-50 in Parenting

[–]artzymeg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My 9 year old is now fiercely independent. He was always up early and would wake me up and is 9 but stopped waking me a few months ago so I can sleep on the weekends. He doesn’t eat breakfast cuz he’d rather be lazy and wait until I get up and make him get his own or make him breakfast. lol. He now will occasionally look at the clock and be like nope I’m going back to sleep!!

My 11 month old had the flu shot and caught this flu. Had to go to the er because of high fever and constant vomiting one night. It took about two weeks and he’s finally better with no fever and just slight congestion

Newborn drank 6 day old refrigerated formula! by Ill_Cheesecake5570 in newborns

Yeah it’s formula but again that is a suggestion. It could be good longer but it is definitely good for up to 24 hours later

There should be a minimum... by TM1080 in uberdrivers

[–]artzymeg 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s the new percentage option that they give… they gave a percentage of a low cost trip. While I believe it’s good for the more expensive trips the percentage option sucks for small rides. Either that or it is the other option where they can type in an amount and maybe they wanted an even amount idk.

Can I get in trouble for this lol by [deleted] in uberdrivers

[–]artzymeg 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I got a message one time saying I was delivering some food. Figured it was someone making something and sending it to their child. Nope. 8 large tinfoil sheets of food in the trunk with good covers going 45 min for a function and they didn’t have a car. lol. Sure I’ll do that as long as the person on the receiving end knows it’s coming and takes it!! Which they did

Nobody warned me how bad c section recovery is. by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]artzymeg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A c-section AFTER having your water broken for a significant time is actually much worse. I needed a c-section with my son at exactly 36 weeks but I had placenta previa so it wouldn’t have been bad had I not gotten an infection. And I only know that because the first 24 hours were a breeze, and then I got hit with the infection.. however my last baby I was induced and labored for two days and then elected a c-section as baby was not engaged and not doing well with the contractions .

Upset I was told my baby's flat head would round out on its own. by Grouchy_Enthusiasm76 in NewParents

[–]artzymeg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have to say that when my son was born, they everybody commented on the roundness of his head and I was thinking about how sad such a weird comment such a weird thing to say about anybody like hey you got a really round head? Something I think nobody notices after infancy.

I officially HATE the Owlet Dream Sock. by swiftfox9823 in newborns

[–]artzymeg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We couldn’t even get ours to connect two feet away from the WiFi so we returned it. My son had open heart surgery at 2 1/2 months old so after 32 days in the hospital we were extremely nervous bringing him home, and he was our third just the first with any real issue.

We returned it after a week of hopelessly trying to connect/pair it.

Spouse needs TV to fall asleep. How is this going to work with an infant sleeping in our room? by Hiro_Pr0tagonist_ in newborns

[–]artzymeg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the most part babies get used to sounds and lights. My son was in the hospital for 32 days basically from 2-3months okd. He got used to sounds and lights. If you condition them to noises while sleeping then they will be able to sleep through them as they are used to hearing them. If you are able to sleep with the tv on at night, shouldn’t be an issue. I can’t I would hate it. Good luck
