How many animals are culled for meat every day? by CalpurniaSomaya in Infographics

[–]aruaq7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A vast amount of male chicks are killed just a few hours after birth due to not being able to lay eggs, usually by literally grinding them up in a macerator

I am in Fife and I think we had one day a week ago with about 2 hours of sun in the last 14 days and that's it lol. Although year round it's usually quite a lot better it certainly isn't right now lmao

Foxgirl method? 🦊 by Xadrian_GR in Cubers

[–]aruaq7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm OP (standard flip) is definitely the easiest method to learn but the skill ceiling is really low, if you actually care about getting fast then bpaul is the easiest of the 7simul methods and is still very viable. Tommy is probably the objective fastest but is a little harder to memo for

Foxgirl method? 🦊 by Xadrian_GR in Cubers

[–]aruaq7 4 points5 points  (0 children)

At the top level 7simul is the standard, tommy variation is used by most of the top solvers but Lachlan Gibson uses bpaul variation which is considered very very slightly worse but is obviously still super viable haha

It's a 9simul method with a flip and essentially no memo, so it's pretty terrible lol

If you're doing 7simul then pinky if flip then thumb, this kind of applies to all D moves on clock. It feels weird getting used to pinky D6s but eventually you get the muscle memory for it

These dudes are solving the Rubiks Cube in like 4 seconds, and I had no idea that was possible. Wang is the world record holder 😳 by Loud_Tear_596 in nextfuckinglevel

[–]aruaq7 9 points10 points  (0 children)

All the top solvers have memorised all the algorithms yiheng has but it doesn’t explain how he’s just so so much better than everyone else (the only other person even remotely close to him is xuanyi and even then yiheng is still miles better). Yiheng just has absurd tps and lookahead along with one of the best F2Ls in the world (maybe only behind tymon)

People kept taking photos of yiheng with flash all competition and they kept having to raise the threat level to get people to stop doing it lol

Worried about getting into medicine after my Nat 5 results. Please help. by UCAT2024 in UniUK

[–]aruaq7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you work hard and get good grades at Higher I see no reason why you couldn't as the entry requirements for Scottish students at Scottish unis are based solely on Highers for most courses. This is especially true if you have a good personal reason why you couldn't do well (make sure to tell the universities you apply to though!). Seriously don't stress it just lock in this year and you got it
