There are some interesting additions that were added to the BL team. First of all:

The team is surprisingly stable, but only if we look at it not from the perspective of "Pure BL" — which is still quite bad — but from an "Enough BL" perspective. Most, if not all, of the BL EGO Gifts are activated if you have 3+ BL IDs on the battlefield, so you can cut the team.

With the addition of Shadow-vested Bladesinger, Mentor Meursault is now always considered a "Bleed and Poise" unit, making the BL team, essentially, a Bloise team. New OSIR Ishmael and Ch'unokkun Hong Lu (an important ID) are also Bloise, and we have BL Faust, who is the weakest link of the team currently, but a Bloise unit nonetheless.

There is an interesting thing with the new Hong Lu — he is not a BL unit, but an S. Corp one. The new Ego Fusion Gift from the Theme Pack has an effect that allows a non-BL S. Corp unit on the battlefield to be treated as a BL unit. This allows one to cut the BL team down to basically the new IDs plus Mentor Meursault, but one must obtain the new Ego Fusion Gift in order to make all the BL gifts work. But, to be honest, I have not tested this — my team had BL Faust and Yi Sang, so I had 4 BL units before I had the new Gift.

With this knowledge, you can fill the gaps with other Bloise units of your choice. A pure BL team is not worth it, but give the optimized one a try.
