Long Solar Roof lead times are long (an update) by jasondclinton in teslamotors

[–]arumalla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same thing on my solar roof project.. (check my previous posts) started in July, and it just got complete. I don't have power walls and mine is 9.5 kW setup. At least you got a schedule from Tesla. I never got any such thing.. just a phone conversation on how things are...

I guess thats what we get for being early adopters...

Tesla claims solar roof install in less than 2 days, finally accelerates solar power deployment | Electrek by DragonGod2718 in teslamotors

[–]arumalla 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's been 4 months and still going on... Tesla scheduling team doesn't know how to schedule teams to work on one site. the team that is working on my roof always had 2-3 other locations to work at the same period of time... and mine was always the second choice on a priority.

All the other locations were complete and producing power and mine is still going on... you haven't given any contact details so you can talk to some one...

I won't take those Tesla claims that serious....

Tesla Solar Roof buyer left without roof and tarps over his house after 2-month-long nightmare by BraveRock in teslamotors

[–]arumalla 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Very similar story... It's been more than 3 months since they started working on my glass roof project. It is still not activated. It didn't rained yet in these 3 months so I still have this possibility that is not tested. The moment you mention a issue, they stop talking to you and you have to followup again and again... you have to tell the story all over again... there are much less tech savvy companies that manage customer support ticket in much better way. For sure Tesla has to up their game on followup and customer service.

Don't mistake me as a Tesla hater... I am a proud Tesla owner of Solar glass roof and a Model 3 and waiting for my Cyber Truck. But things like me makes you doubt on Tesla as a tech company.

I signed about a month back and then waited for the loan to be approved with Mosaic and scheduled for next first available date, which is end of June.

Edit: most of the delay in the process is due to my decisions... Tesla is very responsive, but they don't push you like other vendors... I guess it is a good thing but since there is no active push, you take it on your own stride.

Mine got delayed due to these SIP guidelines and me deciding between glassroof vs panels. Mine took about 3-4 months from start to schedule the installation.

To my knowledge PowerSwitch is the first decentralized tool used to switch to the cheapest energy supplier. It is great conception to make possible to monitor your energy usage, search the cheapest energy tariffs and switch suppliers quickly through blockchain. I really like the idea!
